A true NFT album might have been worth something but what Tory did wasn't really NFT. What he did was SFT which is Semi Fungible Token. He sold a million copies of his NFT album which really makes it worthless as a collectable. If there was only 1 copy then yeah that shit could be worth a lot of money but since there's a million copies it's worthless. NFT only works as a collectable. Digital collectors aren't going to want something that has a million copies. As for the general public, people like to download music and listen to it whenever and where ever they want. They ain't going to care that an album is an NFT they just want to listen to the music in their cars, on their headphones, or whenever. NFT won't be that big of an impact to the music industry as a whole. Tory Lanez really just sold 1 dollar lottery tickets to his fans. Maybe a few will resell for more then a dollar but most won't resell at all.
You put it into perspective but I’ll research SFT but I think it’s still valuable but at the end of the day even if his point was to see if he could make a million he did that and job well done this is something that would make more sense if DRAKE did it or RIHANNA they would make a killing due to there platform and fans but what this does is changes the AUTHENTICATION GAME AS A WHOLE fuck the music part this is GENUIS in a authentication form I want to know I have something rare and valuable that someone would want.
