Another very informative video dXf, I really don't think about using a lot of these different modes with my mavic because I am not focused on one particular object but it is good to know that they are available.

thanks for the great video on point of interest feature. i now have a better understanding of how it works.that feature would be good when I'm trying to take an aerial video of where i live. i thought it would have been harder to do but that little drone is amazing. thanks for showing us

Giday mate Question you seem to be using a contoler that has a screen which doesnt come with the air does that mean that the controller from the pro or sparks works with the air ? Also in the vid you had the screen come up with windspeed and such is that an app or something in the DJI contoller interface? Love your tutorials have learned heaps from you

In my opinion one of the most useful features of this drone yet,(camera use). It gives almost full autonomy to the usage of the camera whilst the flying is left in the capable hands of the DJI.
Derrick John Page Absolutely camera controll is a must, especially since it allows so much other movement while orbiting.

Aside. I noticed a lot of distortion and static during your audio during flight. Some even seemed close to the red. Maybe just using your point and shoot audio just like it was functioning in the car as your audio source . Something was seeming rubbing on or moving internally with the mic
It doesn’t bother me but others might judge
I’m wondering if the dropped frames has to do with the rate of battery depletion or, the hard drive source being towards being filled . Somehow ,sometimes , i feel low storage remaining affects processing power tasks and writing . Obviously the actual signal looks very choppy in NYC just curious if those two things add to the stickiness during real-time feedback .
But yes us viewers know how insane WiFi connect-ability is for you out there. 📶NYC WiFi is very interesting 😁😄 Everything within NYC orbit

Face Mountain I was using my headphones for audio, it was bad when I was outside my car because of the wind..... inside my car it was probably rubbing on my shirt because I kept moving around so I don't loose signal & line of sight......

No really great perspective to that situation . Thank you . I’m constantly seeing pretty reasonable gusts when you post up stories. Literally i just thought of an idea for myself because sometimes I’m forced to do the same thing currently. What if when using audio from headphones a homemade dead cat can get tied around it I’m thinking about testing that

I've been too New York City one time.. I think everyone should experience the city and you show some great scenery and areas of it. If I had a drone that had POI I'd definitely use it. It's a great feature and I can think of many places it would be handy. Thanks for another informative video with some great content.
How's the repairs coming on all your projects?
Steve G. My 3DR Solo is a success, my Dad's Drone isn't, I tried but I'm struggling with fixing the camera......I might just give him my Mavic Pro if I decide to keep the Autel Evo & Mavic Pro 2.

What troubles with the camera? Not that I know anything about repairing drones, but could the entire camera be replaced with a used example, or is the problem internal of the drone itself?

Why all the “jumps” or stutters in the video? Were all the stutters in the final video, or are we seeing the live screen view? Will it orbit a dynamic subject such as a car driving slowly down a road? Love all the info. Keep ‘em coming!!!

Chris Crawford it won't orbit a dynamic subject that's moving....... Subject must be stationary......... Active track coming soon, in active track mode it supposed to Orbit moving subjects.
droneXfactor I saw a demo of the Autel Evo last night. They show the exact same orbit on a boat cruising on the water! Might have been under transmitter control, but it looks like it might be an auto-function. Will be interesting to see a comparison....if it’s ever released!

POI is exactly the same on all Mavics & newer Phantoms.

I think this is a feature most people don't use that often? correct? or am I missing it? It's a cool feature, but in a video compilation for instance I don't see myself using more than 2 poi shots ..

I actually thought the P3S was advanced and while it amazes me (and everyone I've shown it too) it pales in comparison to the new stuff out there and actually does so little compared too the air, and many other drones.

Nice feature, although in my opinion, I prefer to set the drone to activetrack something, and then use the dial on-screen to make it circle around it. That way it's not a specific point that you're circling, it's an actual object. Plus, the drone automatically track it, whereas in POI it just assumes it never moves. And you still get a lot of control over it.
Also I noticed you used Mavic Pro remote for the stick demonstrations XD, just being picky-- they're basically the same.
Peter Reynolds Active Track is for orbiting moving subjects, I'm not sure if you can do all of these features that POI has while orbiting a moving subject...... I'm testing Active Track next...... With p o i it locks in with active track I think it's not as accurate but don't let me say until I test it's abilities & cons.

You're right I guess there's reasons to use both, and poi gives you more control so maybe more cinematic... Both great features!
Nice shades I can't wear mine screen disappears when it's in landscape mode. I don't know if it's because their prescription glasses or what. I'm actually a little jealous lol

I just grabbed the nearest available controller (Mavic Pro) to film & demonstrate the stick movements.
All Mavic Air drones have the same controllers.

That was a good tutorial. Ive been learning for some of your videos. I've had my air since the summer and only used it 3 times. And that was just on my street. Still a little too scared to try the functions. Dont wanna loose it
this is a great mode but hard to get right sometimes
