You definitely know how to balance your life. Work then play. Study then take a break eating great food and visit town. Love it! Keep it up and I'm sure you'll make a successful doctor. Love from London xx
I love watching your vlogs, they give a great insight on how to manage your time and being able to do fun things (the side that no-one talks about). Every time I watch your vlogs I can't wait till i eventually start medical school
when breathe becomes air was such a great book! the author made me feel apart of his journey and battle through his cancer diagnosis. He truly showed how different the world is for patients after a diagnosis. i couldn't stop crying at the end. But such a great recommendation for all future and present health care professionals!
i forgot to mention, have you read The Real Doctor Will See You Shortly by Matt McCarthy. I read this during my 4th yr pharmacy rotations and it gave me a positive encouragement to know we all struggle through the same thing when first entering into this healthcare field.
i also finished with my september exams so this weekend i am completely free, relaxed and nothing is on my mind! i am so so happy and it reminded me of elemetary school (': I really appreciate those little breaks just so i can spend some time with the ones that i love and clear my head! i'm so excited for your ob/gyn rotation :DD good luck & i love your videos
Hi! I'm new to this channel and omg you've inspired me to work harder. I am going to take my NMAT exam (MCAT equivalent in the Philippines) on oct 16 and I'm really nervous because I'm not a science major. I love you videos and you're the first person I encountered on youtube that does medical videos. I'm thankful to have bumped into your channel. Thank you so much! Please continue to do videos like this. It inspires a lot of people like me and keeps me motivated.
I tend to frequent your channel for motivation whenever I have an exam coming. I have my CNS mid-block exam in a few days from now and I need all the extra pushes I can get
I'm also a med student and love watching your vids. Like you I'm in a relationship and I would love a vid on how you balance studying and your time with your bf!
Subscribed!! Just found your channel and feeling so motivated/inspired. I'm a second year pharmacy student so I can definitely relate to the importance of break times. Hope you're enjoying the new rotation :)
Hi, I really enjoy your vlogs! What you said about taking breaks is super important and not said enough! I read When Breath Becomes Air over the summer and really liked it. Definitely going to look into your other recommendations. Also, your cat is so cute!!
A good recommendation reagarding books would be ''The man who mistook his wife for a hat'' by Oliver Sacks. It is more on the psychiatric/psychological side, but it is really interesting (it also includes various medical explanations of every disorder that is presented). Personally, I think that it helped me a lot to gain more knowledge as a psychologist and expand my imagination -which is considered to be a part of creativity. Hope you have a wonderful time, and keep up with these positive influencing vlogs!! :)
I subscribed today and I already watched 10 of your videos on studying and vlogs. Loved each and every one of them. I'm an 11th grade student aiming to get into med school one day. And I find your videos very motivating :D
I read 'Lean In' by Sheryl Sandberg two months ago or so. It was incredible! It opened my eyes to problems that women face all around the world and also inspired me so much to be ambitious and to stop putting some limits on me by myself. Great recommendation!
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching your vlogs :) Even though I'm a business student in Germany I still like to watch your videos so keep it up! Hugs from a new subscriber :)
Thank you so much for doing these videos, you are so beautiful inside and out. I hope everything goes good for you, you are totally GOALS!!! I just hope that I can be like you so determined, smart, focused but also enjoy life (:
Hello Jamie how are you?! I hope u doing well! I'm in my final months to graduate from medical school and it really helps me whatch your videos and kind of learn from experience overall... I appreciate it!!! Greetings from South America :)
I'm a medical student and I feel like I'm dying every week. I don't know why I don't have time to shop or read certain books. But I'll try to set some time aside for those after watching this vid. Thank you!
Quick question.. When you are doing rotations do you get to hang out on the weekends like you did in the video? Do you enjoy your weekends at all during rotations? 😂
Please answer these questions!!! (1) HOW do you edit your videos? What software is it that allows you to put the cute pics, sound effects, and text??? (2) HOW do you have TIME for such a successful and beautiful social media presence? (3) HOW did you edit your youtube banner? THANKYOU
I'm sure you've answered this but where do you go to med school? Also any advice on organizations to be involved in in college? I'll be graduating soon and applying to med school and still looking to add things to my resume :)
Hey Amanda you might find this video useful: ruclips.net/video/m6tJ0TmrFVI/видео.html I talk about what to do in the summer as an undergrad, there are also some helpful links to all the research positions in the country you can apply to to add to your resume! Hope that helps :)
Hey! Just wanted to tell ur amazing and so inspiring.. i am an IMG and am 3 weeks away from my step 1 exam .. i would appreciate any advice regarding how to organize my time because I really don't want to stop my workout routines also i watched all your resources videos they really helped so thank you !!
I have a question... I heard from a lot of german exchange students that school in America is really easy. Is university also easier or how is this working? I don't understand it and I don't want to sound contemptuous 😣
Hi! i've been watching your videos for a while and would love some advice? I'll be attending med school hopefully in a few years but I'm just concerned as to how you find the time to do other things? I am a very extroverted person, I love going on road trips and travelling, very go-with-the-flow person, I also train in MMA on the daily! but how do I do that when I want to be as successful as I hope to be in med school?
thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to make these videos, they are really helpful! btw, how do you like your whiting activite watch? I am thinking about buying the activite pro watch for myself.
Is it really convinent to have a car in grad school? I don't know how to drive yet, is it necessary to start learning now so I'm able to drive comfortably when I get to uni
hey!! I love your channel..I have a question ..how do you focus in med school and have a boyfriend/fiance?? at the same time. my boyfriend is on his path to med school and I see how much time is spent in school and I totally support him but he wants us to move in together and I fear that living together will just interrupt his focus...what do you suggest or experienced?
Shaya Julia sort of.. Depending on the schools program you have like 6 or 7 core rotations that is mandatory and then the others are required. Some schools integrate all in school program others let students choose as electives. Still in a 4,6, or & week rotation. Btw, I only know so much because I did my research in the schools that I want to attend (I'm doing my undergrad now) but I would recommend just looking at the schools program in detail to make sure it's a program you're willing to abide by
You seem so happy and relaxed :) I love how we can seriously appreciate the preciousness of short breaks when we're in med school. Love ya❤️

Hi :) 1. final cut pro. 2. i mostly film on Saturdays (for the most part) 3. I used photoshop. Hope that helps!
TheStriveToFit editing takes so much time! And you're using such a high level software! How??? In med school no way is there time to edit?
***** final cut pro is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.
I'm sure you've answered this but where do you go to med school? Also any advice on organizations to be involved in in college?
I'll be graduating soon and applying to med school and still looking to add things to my resume :)

When you take a year off after undergrad, do you take your mcat right after graduation or the following year right before you go to med school?
I took a year off after graduating, but I took my mcat prior to starting my last year of undergrad. But you can take it after graduating.
You are so pretty! Such a gorgeous couple!

My cat loves to be held like a baby too 😻😸
Do you get paid when you work at the hospital?
