As someone who has been in IT since the early 80s, dating myself, and owning 2 IT companies, I can say the best thing is being able to constantly learn. When I get overwhelmed, I just take a bit of time off and then dive right back in.
Usually tech is not the biggest reason of frustration, but management.
So very true and thank you for sharing this! Having a dedicated home lab for running simulations and refining your practice is an absolute must to have!
I've been in the industry since 2007, so I feel this. Thank you for reframing the constant change as something to be excited about. 😁
Just spent an afternoon failing with nfs sharing permissions. Frustrating springs to mind. But I'm learning. 👍
Hey Christian, you mind sharing those two charts you showed in this short?
roadmap.sh/devops, and comptia certification roadmap
Very true! Greetings from Czech Republic.
Ahoj!
Thanks :) Greeting from Ger
This short appeared in my feed with an empty comment section while I'm in the process of selecting a networking course and a good homelab router to buy. I believe this is fate 😂
Which router did you end up buying? :)
@krishnachaitanya4822 tldr: I haven't bought yet.
I'm leaning on Zimaboard with pfsense or opensense. People say it's a bit expensive, but I want an SMB router for low power consumption that's powerful enough to not have to worry about scaling up a little in the future. I'll search for cheaper alternatives, but the x86 processor, extra PCIE port, and dual ethernet make it more interesting than a Raspberry Pi or similar clone. I'll probably use it to host a few services in docker containers before buying a dedicated mini PC.
Hey what is that first learning path you showed in the video
I think that was devops ;)
Wait what? Youre not an Go, C#, React, Java, Kubernetes Developer?
Beer helps
;D
