it is a very clear mesh, without any noise. Simple...

So...how do you actually work with it after you haver solidified it? I need to trim my scanned surface, this doesnt help?

Is there any way to add some dimensions to the imported STL? How can one manipulate an STL once you import it in CREO, dimension wise?
What I mean is this: suppose you import an STL artistic mask for an automobile (or a bumper bar), and the front of your automobile is too large (or too small) for the mask/bumper.
You then need to shrink or enlarge the mask, a little or more, just for the mask to be able to fit the already existing assembly of parts that constitute the automobile in CREO.
How would one deal with that problem?
Very nice video clip, keep up the good work!!

i have tried using this method, and it does not seem to work. The files i am working with have much more facets. When i go to preview the different levels it just says 0 triangles and nothing shows up. Help?

Brandon Baldovin Can you send me the data

Sure thing, I am converting 3d scans from .stl to solids. They are large files (+25 MB), so I dont know if I could send them, but I could link you to a file that is similar to my scans.

Creo Method grabcad.com/library/predator-b-radio-controlled-airframe-1/files this would be an example of a file that would be similar to the ones i am using

Olá! Estou tendo dificuldade para modelar com arquivo stl, depois que consigo solidificar não estou conseguindo modelar o mesmo, nem avaliar dimensões! Alguém pode me ajudar?

Hello, I have a doubt, I am going exactly regarding your steps. everything goes well till I have to pust the "OK" button (time 1:16), nothing hapends. No prt file is stored. I have PTC Creo Parametric 3.0 M090. When I push the OK button, than appears a table "New File Options", I choose mmns_part_solid and than "OK", but no file is stored. Thank you

Did you manage to solve this problem, Im about to try to import a 3D scan into a creo 3.0 file?

cant open an stl file did you add a plug in or something

Make sure the STL file name does not contain spaces or special characters. Otherwise CREO won't recognize the file.
