    My coworkers see me as a Creo expert and have been using ProE/Creo for over a decade and I never knew about that fast way to create a midplane! Great tip! I have a lot more to learn! Thank you!

    What a gem of a video. So many great tips. Thank you! Would love to see a video showing how to use Import Data Doctor to clean up a model which imports as all surfaces with holes and overlapping patches so you could then solidify it.

      I am also looking for a video on this, but having little to no luck.

      Yeah, the software continues to surprise me at all the nuances and hidden functionality.

    Great video and very well explained! It would be nice to have you do videos for some of the other software companies. 😂

    super useful tips and really well explained thank you very much , is there a way to recognize same geometry in an import assembly

    • @CADPLMGuy

      Flexible Modeling works in part mode only. But I ran into Martin Neumuller from PTC earlier today - maybe if I run into him again, I'll ask!

    Can we edit the import part and see how and by using which tool they made that part?

    • @CADPLMGuy

      If you search on my channel for "Import Export" and "Flexible Modeling" you will find two playlists with multiple videos on editing imported geometry.

      To be clear, you typically can’t reverse engineer imported geometry to figure out which feature tools were used to create the part. Protecting intellectual property is one of the main reasons to use CAD neutral file formats like STEP and IGES.

    what settings do you have? I am working a with a larger step file but deleting components is taking forever like 15 mins plus. Trying to see if anyone else has this problem

    • @CADPLMGuy
      @CADPLMGuy  3 года назад

      I am using the default settings for Data Exchange aside from those I showed in my video on STEP files.

      @@CADPLMGuy what specs does your computer have?

    • @CADPLMGuy

      It's over 4 years old. 32 Gb RAM (Creo maxes out at 20). Nothing special.
