- A tragic, yet beautiful Thai commercial. Its true, if it wasn't a life insurance commercial..., I do think that. But I feel the point of it, or the reason why I like this is that you have to think about things you've left undone. Life is short (or long, depending on your perspective), and we don't know what tomorrow will bring us. We should just go out and do everything we can today, "now", before its too late. A thought or a feeling you want to convey to someone you care, even simple words you haven't said enough just might make that difference in someone's life.
Just something to think about...
Commercial breaks must be really tough for people in Thailand.

Good point. You're right that the add itself does kind of ruin the whole beauty of the story, since people only benefit through the death of a loved one, and that in a way life insurance makes money by taking advantage of the good will of a person trying to help or support someone just in case. I still like the story though. Cheers

Maybe the ad means to say that with insurance you can have more time for your family when you are alive, not that you have to die to help your family.
It's saying the father could have done better.

It may be the fact that I don't know much about life insurance but when I saw that the commercial was for that it made me think if greed. Almost as if the father can only help his son with his savings and what he left behind and not the aspect of love he wanted to give him. Please tell me what you think?
Here's an interesting thought, son finds out the accident happened when the dad was on the way to to the concert, and gets an inheritance from his dad.
As a person, how do you think that'd impact your life? Probably more so by just the fact he was on the way, but then you'd probably feel a little different about how to use that money. You want to honor the fact he was still your dad, still cared about you, and was on the way to see you, so you use the money to become successful as a musician because that was your dream.
Life insurance is really only bad when people are killing each other and to make policy claims but in more normal situations like this can help with those who are continuing on without you, including funeral expenses.
It's a good commercial nonetheless because it reminds you that everything is fleeting and unpredictable, and to maybe prepare for the worst, but also, don't take the time you had with people you love for granted.
Insurance isnt gonna help anything when you lose some one important to u.

Commercials are usually annoying things which interrupt a more interesting programme, but this certainly is sad and tragic... I'm surprised it's from an insurance company and not part of a road safety campaign!

No its actually pretty good for life insurance I mean think about it take this guy he's kinda douche to his kid and then he dies and his son is going to be helped because of the life insurance its not a perfect gift but sometimes its the only thing you can do to show you cared when you can't show them yourself... But its really freaking hard to see when the tv is so saturated with so many dang life insurance commercials!!!! I mean really every break come on?!?!
They showed he would have and could have done better. Watch it again.
