Francis couldn,t understand how the band was recording an album every year back in the 70,s , however the enjoyment it gave me, that era too me was first class . Dog Of Two Heads followed by Piledriver followed by Hello followed by Quo followed by On The Level followed by Blue For You !!! Thank you to Status Quo for busting your arse !!!!

When Rick died I was so against Francis going forward with status quo, I was still on a high over the reunion tour's I guess,
But now I get it, I understand why he's continued and I kinda understand why he (francis) didn't want to reform the original four after the tours finished, I'll always love the original four line up, I was 5 in 1979 and remember my mum getting ready for work every morning listening to quo and getting me ready for school,
I'm so glad that I was able to go and see the furious four with my mother, April 2014, she passed away in 2016 , so having those particular memories mean so much to me , I'll always be glad that they did the extra year of that tour and that line up,
Good luck with the next album Francis, and thanks for giving me some priceless memories.

What a fabulous interview. I have loved and still love Quo from the first day I ever heard them. A friend of mine from Co. Longford Ireland introduced me to them when he pulled out of his album collection "Blue For You" and the first track I ever heard was "Is There A Better Way". We were both about 15/16 at the time when I first experienced Quo and was instantly hooked. I have seen them live quite a few times over the years and Status Quo are and always have been unquestionably one of the greatest live bands you'll ever see. I have seen many great bands over the years, but Status Quo had this ability like no other to uplift your spirit regardless of what may have been going on in your life, it was forgotten about for that one hour 45/2hrs when Status Quo were on stage. I was actually at their 1982 end of the road gig an Hammersmith Odeon, ooooh and I'm delighted that that road extended it's self and Francis and Quo are still Rock'in All Over The world.......ooooh! Apologies for that ha!

I've never seen an interview with Francis Rossi before, and I was never a Status Quo fan, but what a treat from start to finish. Down to earth, self-effacing, intelligent, funny, and no shame about having an eye for the ladies. I am a couple of years younger than Francis, here he gave me a little bit of education about his views on life and how to place things in the correct position of importance. I've always appreciated Status Quo as an uplifting band . I was a little surprised that when they finish a performance he maybe doesn't understand how many people have been uplifted by their performance. It is an antidepressant.

This is one the best interviews i've seen with Francis, especially the explanation of why him and Rick drifted apart, Francis is usually so self conscious in interviews and tries to hide his emotions with clowning but heree he let his guard down more. It always seemed odd to me that being the front man of a Rock band, and doing interviews for over 50yrs, they still make him uncomfortable Rick was so much more natural in interviews when they were together.

Last I heard anything was the day news broke of Rick's untimely death and played "Rain" "Mystery song" and ("4500 times"- a personal favourate) as a tribute to his passing! They were the only band I got hooked on : D 'QUO ARMY!' ; , as a young teen in 76'. And consistently followed, went to the gigs. Religiously bought every album, every year they came out (including the ones before my time) And litrally the T-shirts! Right up untill 'the time' Francis discusses in this interview.. He still looks just a sharp now as when I got, litrally a ' spure of the moment chance!' to meet both him and Rick promoting the first live gig put to video (VHS back then) at WHSmiths in Brum 83/84?? My band, the Outback Hippies were supper act for QUO in the early 2000’s for a few gigs. It was a highlight of my life (having been a super fan since I was 14). Anyway, after each gig I had the pleasure of chatting with Rick, Francis and Rhino in conversations just like this backstage in the dressing room. It was so relaxed and in rock and roll hahaha. But I loved it! Great memories. I wish I’d recorded the backstage convos! Nah not really. I’d rather have the memories! Good times.

The best interview with Francis I’ve seen in a while. Excellent questions. Beautiful location, too. Where was it filmed?

what a nice character... and he seems very healthy and coherent considering the fast-paced life he led for many years.

Very good, I feel like I’ve known this man all my life. Never ever met him though. Weird. Met Rick once though.

I just hope that, where ever we go after this life, I hope and pray status quo will be there with their music. I can’t imagine eternity without it.

The one thing Francis didn't say is Quo made a lot of people very happy & I am one of them. I saw them at Hastings beer festival a few years ago & it was one of the best nights ever. I have 3 albums on the car stereo & really annoy the wife cos they have to be played loud. Love em.

He’s talking about the delight is in the desire, when the desire is satisfied there’s no more delight. Just read his autobiography, he doesn’t hold back. Didn’t know anything about Quo except a few hits but now I’m listening to all the songs he writes about
