    This video is a bit different. I know some of you like smaller videos. This one intentionally created with a specific learning style in mind. Some leaners like to have someone step them through a whole process at one time vs. serval small videos. To be inclusive I added this video to the rotation. :)

Thanks again!

    Hello, thank you very much, excellent.
    I have a question, is it possible to import the answers when copying or duplicating the form?

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  Год назад +1

      Hi, Forms does not have an import function. Making a copy/duplicating the Form is supposed to be used as a way to have a whole separate copy that does not contain or impact the original answers. For example, a coworker wants to use the same Form questions but you don't want their answers to impact your results. I use this feature in what Microsoft calls "unintended use". The only thing that you can do is download the original answers to Excel and manually combine the data if needed.

    Thanks - this is useful. What if I want to send the form to specific customers by name and email? It looks like the only option is anonymous, but that doesnt force the user to fill out their details.

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, you are correct, when sending a form outside of your organization the only option is Anyone can respond which is automatically anonymous. A lot of the refining features, such as specify by name is only available if sending internally.
      If by fill out details you mean make sure the put in a name and or email address; the way I get around that is to put those fields on the form and mark them as required. Then the customer will have to give you that data to submit.

    Great video; can this be used to create a on boarding form and can certificates be created for quizzes; thank you

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  Год назад +1

      Yes you can create an onboarding form with this. However, certificates are not an option in Forms, at least not my work edition, there is a school edition I don't have access to. What you can do is use Power Automate to send Forms Responses to Excel or Lists. Form there you might be able to take that data and then automatically send out a certificate. I have not tried that flow myself but it seems like it could be done.

    Is there a way to auto email/notify responses to other people?
    I am hoping to use this to manage phone call proformas, phone call queries taken by a certain group of people that need to be managed by another group so to save the first people having to complete a form, copy it to email and then input on a database. Thanks in advance!

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, you can automate gathering up the Forms responses and send an email to designated people. This will require you to create a Power Automate flow. I show how in one of my older videos but the concept still works. ruclips.net/video/n13TnMWooZQ/видео.html

    Can I use forms for 2 way feedback and add a signature panel? For example I want to send a form to course attendees to check off the content covered, when the forms are returned the trainer needs to initial their responses and sign the document

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  5 месяцев назад

      In this video I am showing the basic Forms app and it will not do what you are asking about. There is a pro version, which I don't have access to. But you could check that out to see if paying for an additional license would get you to the desired end result. Please know that Microsoft says Pro is only available on the business E5 license. If you are using a cheaper license or personal account then the standard Forms is all you will have access to.

    This is an excellent video, thank you so much! A question, I have set the setting to "Anyone can response". After filling out the form and right below the thank you note it shows the message "Save and edit later". I don't want this option to be given, is there any way to remove it?

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  Год назад +1

      So this is fairly new and may have come out after I did this video. Based on a quick test you can turn it on the feature on a form by form basis. But once it is on you cannot turn it back off again.

      If you did not change a setting and there is none that you can adjust, my next best guess is there is something different in the backend of your site that the admins may control. I know that what I see at work and what I see in my personal account can be very different. Usually it is an admin settings.

    • @HeatherMajors
      @HeatherMajors  Год назад +1

      I did a quick check and if you go to Personal forms the collections button should be there for all accounts. The only thing I can think is maybe you are on a free account and it has limited features. Or there is an IT issue that you may need to bring to your admin.

    • @HeatherMajors
