Thanks a ton, Chris! Yeah I was glad to get sent this to test, MJX have been good to me and their cars are awesome! You won't regret getting one of these, fast enough for me on 2s! 3s is a riot! Cheers dude! 😎👍
Awesome, three sets of tores, two fans, a gyro and the right toe in/out adjustment for high speeds, and, and, and. This car's high end. Thanks for showing the run.
Hi Dirk and thanks for tuning in again! Oh yes this truck has a superb specification and is a ton of fun out there on asphalt dirt and grass! Best wishes to you my friend! 👍
Hiya Cat 🐈 and thanks for tuning in again! Too right mate, MJX are making some awesome RC’S at the minute! I love this little truck, it ticks all the boxes for me! Hope all is good with you, cheers 🍻 mate! 😎👌👍
I love seeing if this truck gives others the same reaction I got upon trying this out! It’s bloody amazing… isn’t it! I, mean for what you get versus the cost, it definitely has a lot of Bang for your buck! Atfter having mine a while now, I think I prefer the square blocked tires for rally use over the knobby ones. Glad to see and hear your perspective on this great little rig. I expect to see even more great things from MJX! Have a great weekend fellas! Really nice job on this!
Hi Robby, great to know that it's not just me who likes this little smasher! Agreed, it is bloody amazing! I must say that I enjoyed driving it on all 3 sets of tyres and liked the hard ones on asphalt as I could drift at much higher speeds. MJX-RC really are nailing it at the moment! Hope your weekend is good too my friend!
Hiya Jeremy and thanks for tuning in again my friend 😊! Definitely goes like a stabbed rat 🐀!!! I really enjoyed testing this thing out with the different wheels, 3 times the fun for me! All the best, fella! 👍
Glad you agree with me, at least I'm not on my own on this one! I've had tons of fun with it and it's still going strong. I'll do as many reviews as I can, just hope they send me more cars to test! Thanks for the support, Shawn! 😎👊👍
Crikey that little truck is a jack of all trades Mark! Yep definitely ticking a lot of boxes! Mate you never told me you are a drifting King! Fast and furious 110 here we go! Great camera work too Rob to keep up with that little flying missile!
Hi there James! It sure is a jack of all trades mate, got some more off road footage coming that proves it!!! Drift King??? Not sure about that! The gyro makes it look easy, but you should have seen my trying with the gyro off! 🤣 Yeah Rob was on top form with the camera on a stick!! Cheers 🍻 buddy 👍
@@MarkBryanRC l have never used a gyro in an rc but can you imagine if we had them back in the day? They would of been working overtime in the hoppers on dust tracks lol. Take it easy buddy.
Nice review, Mark! And the car looks awesome, a proper speed bash demon! And even though I'm not much into the whole drift thing, I have to say it looked pretty good going sideways like that!
Thank you Mads! You got that right my friend, this thing is crazy 🤪 fast and tons of fun! I'm not really into drifting either but it's a nice distraction for a change now and again, the gyro makes it easier too! Thanks again and take care mate! 👍
Epic, I drag raced my brother in his Camaro And Won. It runs like a dream on pavement, so so fun. Grass? not what it is built for, has a hard time on it. Pebbly driveway? It was ripping it in the dirt for a bit but the back wheel locked up, maybe a small rock in the drive shaft. Collects quite alot of dirt and pubbles when ripping on the dirt drive way, after a air compressor wash it was alright again. And on the road she stays.
I hear ya, dude! Yeah, this thing can accelerate like a stabbed rat! But off road you gotta choose the surface carefully, as you say. I have a video coming up showing it on smooth dirt and sand, it was tons of fun and the good thing is you can get some air when hitting lumps and bumps! But I agree, a lot of cleaning afterwards! Hope yours is still going strong! Cheers! 😎👌👍
G'day mate! 😁 yeah I think you could tell I enjoyed this one for sure! I was thinking the same and was amazed to see that 41!!! The gyro did all the drifting, you should see my efforts with it switched off!!! 🤣 All the best my good friend! 😎👌👍
Brilliant video Mark! This looks like a great RC for those looking to get into the hobby and for us who are looking for something different. Rob needed some nifty footwork on the camera there 😂
Hiya matey, hope you are doing OK 👍 Oh yeah this truck is ideal for beginners and seasoned RC hobbyists alike, but a novice better start with 2s and the throttle turned down!!! 😀 Hahaha definitely kept Rob on his toes 🤣 Cheers Craig 🍻 😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it, too, it's not just me then! Yeah we got some great footage of you driving it on the sand and grass, I used a still from that video for the thumbnail! Cheers mate and all the best! 🤗👌👍
Mark, I have to tell you - I think you might unknowingly be a Drift God, a quasi supernatural being with an uncanny natural talent for sliding cars sideways with style and grace. That aside, this thing's awesome. Whether you consider materials selection, spec (CV joints, etc., or performance, it makes me wonder why so many people choose a brand and forswear all others, come what may.
Wow, thanks, Del! Hehe, not sure about a drift God, the gyro was a massive helping hand! It was awesome fun to drive though, mate! I'm actually blown away by this little gem, it's so well built, fast and can tackle a variety of surfaces. As you say, those who only stick to a single brand are missing out! Cheers my friend! 🙏😎👍
Hello mate. Wow that looks like a proper bit of kit for a little car. I'm sort of tempted but I think if anything I need slightly fewer RC cars. Can't believe the difference between 2s and 3s in terms of top speed. A really lovely little package which is something I'm sure you heard on your wedding night! This is a great review vid you've made on this so well done to you and Rob for your efforts. I'm just in the post holiday trying to sort everything out mode but I've just stopped to have a pint and watch this. Best wishes mate 😁👍
Hiya Pete and welcome back! Great to hear you had a smashing time. Yeah, this little car really is the dogs proverbials mate! I think you'd love it and it's nice and small so easy to cart around. I was surprised by the battery difference, too. 2s is fast enough for me, for general bashing, anyway! Were you a fly on the wall on my honeymoon?!?!?!?! 🤣 Enjoy the rest of Sunday, mate! 😎👌👍
Wow, what a fantastic little truck! Build quality is right up there, it performs really well, and even makes the most ham-fisted driver look like a drift expert😆😆
Couldn't agree more, Barry! It's built like a brick out house and goes like sh!t off a shovel 🤣!!! As for drifting, if I can make it drift then anyone can, you should have seen me try without the gyro on! 🤪😁👍
For a little car it was going really well on the 2s but it took off on 3s!! I think with the drift tires and 2s it could be a lot of fun for a rather long time! It was a real beast on 3s though, might be hard to go back to the 2s for runs after that!! nice demo of pretty cool little truck!
Hi Addam, always a pleasure to read you my friend! You got that right, I was surprised just how much faster it was on 3s! TBH I preferred it on 2s, much more controllable for me and my old fingers and old eyes!!! 🤣 But yes, I got about half an hour of running on the bigger 2s battery. Thanks for the cool comment, Addam! 😎👌👍
Hi there Bodie & Doyle 😂😂😂wow! 41mph! That’s unbelievably quick for such a small scale RC, could job you had the giro turn on, just in case it turned into a 1kg ankle killer 😂😂😂. Drifting like a pro, rally racing around and ah hem, though the plants 😂😂. Awesome gentlemen. Great RC, best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
Hi there John and thanks for tuning in again! Yeah, it's bloody quick for a little 1/14 scale! There was no way I could drift it decently with the gyro off!!! 😅 It's so heavy it would definitely be an ankle killer 😫! Sorry about the plants, park keeper 😬!!! All the best to you and yours! 😀 👊👍
One very important thing to know about this car that the typical "unbox-and-drive" won't tell you is that these frequently ship with little or no grease in the diffs or rear gearbox. I bought one of these and that was exactly the case. The 2 diffs had almost no grease whatsoever inside, and the rear gearbox similarly had no grease applied within. It's a fair bit of work wrenching on these to get at the diffs, too, I might add; they're clearly not designed for ease of maintenance. But I would suggest running these on 3S with almost no diff or gear lubrication will likely shorten their lifespan drastically.
Thanks mate, yeah this really is a fun little rig! Yes, I think the 2s supplied is a Li-Ion. All three batteries are rated at 25C. It was mental on the 3s!!! Cheers!
Sorry to hear about your steering issue. I think the stock servo is good enough when it's working properly but I'm sure there are alternative servo's that might be a bit stronger.
It was working fine when I bought it until I got lots of pebbles got inside of the steering. Then the servo started to make noises and after that it won’t just turn!! Thx for help!!
@@Seysar-xd3667 Ah yes, pebbles caught in the chassis probably burnt out the servo, it can happen. I'd just replace with the standard servo and try to avoid pebbles! Good luck with it!
What a cool little rig lads! Amazing value, there's obviously a lot of very good engineering gone into that, and with all the different tires a very comprehensive package! Must ask..... how did the tires smell in comparison to a tamiya?! 😂 Seem to be seeing a lot more gyro's these days, Taylors planes all have them in. Great to have the option to tune it down or turn it off completely though.
