    Can confirm as a f2p player, finding a real person is like finding a unicorn. It's honestly kind of depressing, even when you're doing something they can't monopolize to ruin your experience.

      I learnt fast the only way to make money in f2p is merching.
      Figure out what bots are making or getting and people actually buy.
      Then just be the middle man in the GE. You need to find something that has a high buy limit and high price. Then also has a reletively equal supply to demand. This way your trades execute quickly.
      I made more money in a few months doing this than I did in literally the 13 years of playing f2p before that.
      I did the item cooked tuna. Many bots and people sell it cheap because they are a byproduct of training not money making. Then alot of low level pure pvpers used tuna.
      I made around 150m in a matter of a few months. Started with maybe 2 to 5m. Again this was all f2p so pretty insane money.

    • @ThePCguy17
      @ThePCguy17 3 месяца назад +2

      @@mcfail3450 You can also make a few mil in a few days just by looking like the right kind of poor noob someplace like hill giants and responding to whatever rich member comes through looking for someone who isn't a bot to give anywhere between 500k and 1m. A lot of times they'll give you something like trimmed armor, but the value is usually somewhere in that range.
      Sadly, it doesn't take long to level up to the point where you don't look like such a helpless noob anymore, and people will usually pass you by. Though by that point you should have a few mil to start merching anyway, so you're set.

    When you're trying to impersonate a bot to intercept mules like that try adding a character to the end of the name instead of changing the number. They may just check the length of the expected username rather than the whole thing. I.E. "purple1224" would look the same as "purple12240", much more likely to work than just changing a number. worked once for me with the zammy wine bots (lazy coding)

If you spend to much time banning F2P bots, that teaches botters how to get around the bot detection on their members bots, and seeing as more real players play with membership because OSRS has basically no content in F2P, they are focusing their efforts on stopping or slowing members bots, though even that isn't totally effective because lets be real, it is bad for Jagex's bottom line to stop botting entirely.

      @videocrowsnest5251 4 месяца назад

      Corrupt Jmods seem to after all this time still be a thing, Jagex as a company has hardly any idea is happening. After three confirmed cases. As, after all - who would risk real life legal action and their job for some pixels? Zooming out though, considering how much money is swimming around in the RWT circle, it should be no wonder that these same individuals make a risk-reward assessment and think it's worth their time to try infiltrating the "bank" as if it were. Getting caught and penalized is small potatoes compared to the potential profits as long as they play their hands carefully enough. It to me feels like no one at Jagex really seems to take seriously just how much money RWT actually generates, and thus that infiltrating the "bank" as if it were, can present a very tempting option. After all, even if caught, fined, and penalized - the person can just change their name, start up another bot farm, and off they go.
      Though, I don't believe there is an armada of corrupt Jmods, because no direct evidence for such exists. There are also several - though incredibly unsatisfying potential answers-for why the bots and rwt persists as an issue. Most of them have to do with limited resources, a very old game code, and the ease of operations for the botter rwt'ers. Also, a lack of consequences for RWT operators. Which also means corporate meddling cannot be ruled out as locking anti-botting efforts hands behind their backs - though I think it more a case of nobody in upper management understand, caring, or realizing the true scope and scale of the problem. As well as just how much money is involved, looping back to the potential issue of infiltration.
      Noting here also, the current penalty of bans only work if the people being targeted by them have some emotional investment or care about Runescape (fear of losing an account.) To botters it's literally just a money print. Most of them probably are past the point of caring or playing. Banning accounts means nothing as they behind the screen are immune from the biggest penalty Jagex has short of somehow taking legal action. At this point it's probable a lot of botters and rwt'ers have very little emotional investment and ban is just a "do not pass go - do not collect 200%" card on the board. A minor inconvenience, hurdle, and no issue for them to sort out. And that means it's from their point of view a very low risk, lucrative operation that generates insane revenue streams. No longer just hobbyists or rule breakers - but low tier cyber criminals out to make money using professional grade operations in terms of pay off.

    Guess the botter didn't bother to simply keep a database over his accounts and have his bot read the player name that wanted to trade with them. He probably implemented such system now, Im sure he appreciates your help in improving his system and all it cost him was a small fraction of his daily production.

    These f2p bots just don't get banned because it will greatly impact the "player" count and also the buying and selling of bonds.
    Real players buy up bonds
    These bots end up buying it, especially now that you can buy a 14 day CODE DIRECTLY IN GAME. It's actually absurd that they tailor to bots and RWT.
    Reminds me of someone saying something like, 60% bots, 30% alts, 10% players. Numbers are off but you get the idea.

Most of the bots I've reported have not been banned at all. I highly suspect these accounts are botted just sell the accounts.
