    ------------------------------------------------
Since Hangul is a phonetic alphabet, consonants and vowels should, in principle, be pronounced with their original sounds.
However, this is often not the case, causing many learners to feel difficulty and give up while learning Hangul.
The vowels are consistently pronounced with their original sounds.
The issue lies with the consonants. Consonants have various sounds that change.
When the final consonant of one syllable is followed by the initial consonant of another syllable, the sounds of the consonants change for ease of pronunciation.
This is inevitable due to the structure of the speech organs.
To pronounce consonants easily and conveniently,
the speech organs adjust their positions, making the two consonants sound similar, or certain consonants are pronounced more forcefully to convey the sound accurately.
We will cover these pronunciation rules in 'The Rules of Pronunciation.
