- This video shows how to tie an Articulated Beast Fleye. A variation of Bob Popovics' Beast Fleye, this uses articulated shanks instead of mono extensions. This fly creates a very large profile and realistic movement in the water and is traditionally used to target striped bass or other larger predator fish.

one the second reverse tie do you recomend shorter bucktail or is moving up the tie in enough t provide taper. You make is look easy but I know better. My saddle hackles suck I am going to use ostrich for tail
Great question! It really depends on the bucktail that you are using. Most of the time, between either moving up the hook or using slightly shorter bucktail, you can start to create the desired taper.
