Thank you. Your video just helped me fix my horn. My daughters and I have been driving for months without a horn. Your video was so easy to understand, my relay was just loose. I pushed it in and now I can drive more safely with my horn. Thank you. ✌🏾♥️🖖🏾🌻
El Imparcial • Theres a ground wire at the bottom of the battery tray. Is held down by a 9/16 bolt head. Take the battery out. Find the 6 bolts holding down that tray. Find the bolt holding down the ground wire. You can hook up another wire with an eye to that same ground wire to get the ground you need for your horn ground. From there you can cuide the new ground wire to the ( horn's relay switch contact point ). Check to see after you connect it. To hear if the horn will functión ok. Hope it works.
As an alternative to having a helper press the horn, you can hit the panic button on the key fob, which will cause the horn to honk repeatedly--you can confirm it's working by seeing the headlights flash.
Thanks for the video, great and practical information! I was easily able to identity the problem from this video. The information applicable for the 2009 - 2011 Nissan X-trail sold outside of the US.
At the end you show the horn wire some one pulled mine to try and stop it from going off it did not help had to take fuse out my question is how do I put that wire back together? Thanks
Did you ever get it fixed? My wife's horn stopped working yesterday and after doing the troubleshooting I found but the horn sounded when I jumped the two spots. I'm thinking I have to replace the relay itself and see if it gets the job done.
Also having the same issue. Touched the two spots and the horn worked, bought a new relay and horn still isn't working. So what's the issue now? Helpppp
a blonde??...whats that mean?....my mother is a blond and she has an iq over 160 and used to belong to mensa.....be proud, say it LOUD..."I am a blond, and i can rebuild a '57 chevy from scratch"....while tripping on acid.
First off, thanks for the video! Is the horn related to the lock on the key fob? The reason I ask is when I press the lock button on the key fob I hear the horn, but when I push the actual horn on the steering wheel nothing happens? TIA
I can make the horn work by removing the relay and jumping from 1 to 3 just like you did, and the hotn worked. I tried a new relay, but it still didn't work. The weird thing is, i can push the relay down real hard, and the horn will beep. What do you think the problem could be?
Thanks for sharing. My gf's 2013 rogue just over night started flashing an air bag symbol & the horn just stopped working like a year later.still beeps when u lock it with the key but no horn & blowrr motor will cut off seemingly on its own. Im thinking ground /wiring issue?
@dingdong7777777 nope still blinking away lol. Since then shes had the blower motor & resistor go out, dead battery, wheel bearing hub replaced. And of course i got stuckdoing all of this. But nope, that bad boy is staying on for the long haul 😅
Alright, so if when pressing the lock button on the fob the horn blows, but when pressing the button in the vehicle it does not. Can it still be a bad relay? Or am I looking at a bad horn switch in steering column
Hi, question. I put a new 10a fuse in the horn slot. As soon as I click the lock button it blows up. If I activate the alarm, the fuse blows. Any ideas why this isnhappebinm
gtubyyy • Good one. Starting at the horn wiring. Then going down the wiring to the horn's fuse. If everything checks ok. Then it has to be a short circuit on the horn wiring inside the steering wheel contact points.
How come you didn't show us how to take the battery out? We need step by step instructions, not partial video but full video. Thanks for your helpful video.
First off, thank you for the guidance on how to find, remove and take off the horn relay. I followed all your tips and I’m still having the “no horn”. I did test the horn by bypassing the connections and the horn honked fine. I also ohmed out the fuse and it was good. My question is… do you think installing an aftermarket relay from Auto Zone be the issue? I’ve heard that using a non OEM Nissan part can be an issue. The next question would be if it could be anything behind the steering wheel? Btw, my car is a 2012 Rogue.
@@Silenceplz595 I had a mechanic tell me it’s the clock spring in the steering wheel. I haven’t fixed it yet. It’s kinda expensive so I’m saving up for the part and labor which will run close to 500 bucks. I’m not desperate to get it fixed since inspection isn’t until April of next year.

This was so helpful! I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for a week and your video pinpointed the problem for me. Thank you!

Thank you so much! My car was honking at every turn and people were starring at me.... it was so embarrassing. Now I don't have to worry about it.

El Imparcial • Btw. The horn's relay ground wire. Is the one on the right side of the relay switch.
Thank you very helpful information if you don’t have a manual to see where the fuse are located for the horn.
I can’t find anything about the fuses in my manual. It says where the box is but not what each fuse is for. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
Thanks a bunch. Bad relay for sure. Payday tomorrow we'll get one then.
Aye my man thank you so much figured out what was wrong

Nice video. I replaced the relay after jumping the two spots you said horn blow and still not working. Any other thought?

It's likely to be a broken clockspring behind the steering wheel

Can you tapped the relay with out connecting the battery
How to ground fuse box?

DISCONECT THE HORNS IF RELAY CLICKS CHECK FOR SHORTED HORN IF STILL BLOWS RELAY BAD

What should I do if I buy and replace the horn relay and it still not working?
So my 2014 had the horn go off randomly during the night. If we put the relay back in it starts up again. Any idea how to fix it?
I had to make the effort to sign into my account, like the video and subscribe because the video was that good. Thank you

I noticed my relay doesn’t click but the relay is good . I even put a brand new one . What could it be ? Thanks I’m advance
My alarm works, my horn from the inside isn't working. What could it be? The fuse?
When all of this checks out then the faulty item would be the closcksprint on the wheel itself.
I wish someone would post this same video on a 2012 Nissan Sentra. I haven't found the horn on mine yet.
Lotsa help! TY
Look here bro My wife has a 2008 Nissan rogue The horn works for the security system that it doesn't work when you push it what what should I do there
Thank you so much!!!
Can you do this on a 2012 Nissan Cube 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I will as soon as I find one!
I get not graun(-) to the horn telay.

what kind of markers do you use to make markings? Where can I buy them?
Major help!
Yupe..now I am deaf 😅 I did the short-circuit and now I am deaf lol. But now I can tell is the fuse itself that is not working
At the end you show the horn wire some one pulled mine to try and stop it from going off it did not help had to take fuse out my question is how do I put that wire back together? Thanks
