  • Thanks for watching and subscribing! This is my 5th filmed project, and it was a doozy! In hindsight, I should have kept the face plate on the piece in order to line it up with the tail stock in order to avoid being so off-center on the mortise.
Let me know in the comments if you think I made the right decision to remove the remains of the live-edge. It's a pity to have lost so much of the burl in that process, but I think the end result is pretty nice.
Please consider subscribing, liking, commenting, and sharing! It helps my channel grow, and I very much appreciate the feedback and support.
All of the music used came from:
    www.epidemicsound.com/referra...
If you're interested in my other projects or contacting me for a commission, check out my website:

    Thanks again!

Hey that’s one of the beauties to doing this I would think. The creativity that goes into this. I’m amazed at the quality and brilliance of the different designs. I’m not someone who does this type of Art. Watching these I’d love to give it a go. Perhaps at some point as I have no option as of now for an place to do it. Keep up the videos please. Their a joy to watch. Thanks.

    WOW David!!!
Design opportunities are abound with this hobby. No comment whatsoever regarding your choice/decision as the work progressed - it came out better than good in the end. Your accumulation of choices as the piece evolved demonstrated that you are more, than a capable artist. What a stunning piece of art, the choice of coloured wood types and the final flowing shape all marry up to create one helluva bonny piece of woodturning.
I have said it so often throughout my life when I see, what I believe to be a stunner, Keep on keeping on, don't forget to keep it sharp.
I'm already (and have been for a while) a subscriber, so all that's left to say is, regards and best wishes to you and yours. Until your next woodturning adventure, take care.
