I’m so glad you left the live edge! The end result is art museum-worthy! The designs that come out in the wood never cease to amaze me! Spectacular work!
I feel another name for this art piece: An immortal wild flower. Thanks for your restless creativeness day after day. You're among true artists. May days coming to you be all inspiring days.
Absolutly legendary!!! Oh my goodness!!! And the first one who realised that tropical woods and gold belongs to another! The cracks are fuiled up with liquid gold... a hidden secret in the wood!!! Abnormus!!! The highend of spectacular woodturning!!! I love this bowl!!! 😍👍👍🎩🇩🇪
Absolutely wonderful. The circles and colours of this yew wood are amazing; look like several stems that grew together into a same tree, don't they? The result of your work on it is even more beautiful since you let it as natural as possible.
This is probably the 3rd time I've watched this. It keeps showing up and I just can't resist seeing it again. This is absolutely my favorite piece of wood. So gorgeous!
Oh wow really. I my area this is just a small yew. We get them up to 4’ in diameter. Too big for my lathe unfortunately. This bowl was about 19” in diameter Thanks for watching 😊👍🏻
Wow! What an amazing way to create something so original with this beautiful piece of wood. Love the idea of filling the sphere with coloured resin. Just awesome again Jack. Keep them coming!
глядя на заготовку, можно было понять , что будет нечто необычное ! действительность превзошла все ожидания !Это чудо какое-то !С меня 👍 и подписка 👌 Удачи , здоровья !жду новых роликов 😄
It really doesn't get any better than this does it? You have reached the highest level!!!! Incredible chunk of Yew, all the more inspirational to make a piece like this with. :)
I love the use of resin here as it's both aesthetically pleasing and used as a method to "save" the wood itself. Too many resin woodturning projects that I see are closer to "resinturning" with some additives.
Reminds me of “Kintsugi” fixing broken things with gold to make them more precious. It is a stunning piece. I knew blue and orange made brown but the gold added that 💥💥💥💥💥💥
Thanks Tracey, when I changed the resin to gold I was hoping it would come out fully gold, kintsugi was exactly what was on my mind at that stage, unfortunately the small amount of blue made a huge inpact on the finished resin and it came out kind of deep purple with gold, however in hindsight the resin isn’t at all garish and is a much more natural colour than I could have planed. Thank you for following along, I appreciate you watching. 👍🏻
Renaissance painters used purple for Mary and Jesus (because the color was so hard to make). You were Renaissance painter level and didn’t even know it!!
13:50 As I make my way through your videos I think your vision, skills, talents, patience and courage are reflected in your amazing work. This piece just wowed me👀🤩

@@JackMackWoodturning Great! Thanks. May you and your family be happy. And, may I say 'Hi' with your new little member.
I'm not usually attracted to natural-edged bowls but this one has a lot of flair.
Nice one Scott. Was it the wood that transformed you?
