    Watching this one brings back memories. As a family we used to always camp right off of Ogilby Road and ride the dunes. Have also dumped many times at they Chevron off of Sidewinder road. Actually back then it was a Shell station. The Southern California desert is pretty darn beautiful!!

    What a beautiful view! We use one of those water bladders too. Love it except for the one time it rolled off the bed of the truck and busted on the ground. I learned from that mistake. Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley

    If you have to dump again the Rivers Edge in Winterhaven charges $10 and has fresh water and a garbage container. They just have you drive to the end of the park and use a pull through campsite. See you at the concert

    Dump in Tanks is why I am glad I bought a tank tote and a water bladder so I don’t have to move the rig. Looks like you have a lot of room for a lot of rigs for the upcoming concert.😊

    Each of the Natural Grocers chain of healthier-food stores has a demonstration classroom.
    Their cooking classes are free and science-based.
    Classes are led by the Nutrition Coach, a highly-trained usually degreed individual.
    .
    With 168 locations, you should be able to find one nearby.
    Their once-a-year class 'Health By Chocolate' is getting close.
    .
    And cooking classes usually have lots of samples!

      @rich,
      2003, after a devastating diagnosis, we built our ExpeditionVehicle on a 1996 Ford CF8000 commercial truck.
      We completed our conversion -- while selling everything -- in less than a week, then hit the road from Oregon with the vague goal of 'south'.
      .
      Over two decades full-time live-aboard.
      Twenty-four months twenty-four thousand miles around South America.
      Alaska, Panama, all over North and Central America.
      Summers up rough logger tracks to remote mountain lakes.
      Winters on isolated Baja beaches.
      .
      Suggestion:
      * Don't wait a sec.

    I burn all my trash when we are out in our RV and we use paper plates and paper bowls lots of paper towels because how buy's the newspaper anymore. Know if we are in a campground that has a rubbish barrel I pull out the shitty clear trash bag and put in a 55 gallon real bag for plastics cans etc. We dont boondock I just cant handel all the dust out in the desert. We need lots of grass and green trees so most of RV life spent east of the Mississippi.

      Very expensive! We usually drive into Yuma when we are out there. 😀🚎

      @@TheBorderHookups
      Junction City, Oregon.
      Last week, diesel was us$3.17.9 a gallon.
      Or about half of that price.
      .
      An aside.
      For our ExpeditionVehicle, I immediately added a 140-gallon 'saddle-tank' to supplement the factory 50-gallon tank, giving us 190-gallons on the rig.
      .
      On our toy-hauler I fabricated on a similar commercial chassis, I mounted an additional 120-gallon diesel tank.
      In theory, our range without re-fill is Anchorage-to-Acapulco.
      .
      We prefer acquiring fuel in low-tax areas.

    Do you construct or build any water bottle drinks by adding Electrolytes?
    Looks like some have great ingredients of missing Vitamins and rejuvenating daily activities that may be missing with plain water.

    Watching your latest video and I was wondering, you do a lot of Boondocking, but I don’t see a lot of “green” in your sites. Any plans to go somewhere where you will be in an area surrounded by trees and water? Dave Torry, St Cloud, Go Huskies.

      Hey David. We do most of our boondocking in the SW since it is so ample. We have done some in Idaho and South Dakota. GO HUSKIES!!

      I worked as an Engineer in Mitchell from 2014-2017, so I spent quite a few weekends in the Black Hills, plus my old girlfriend had daughters in Deadwood and Spearfish. Was in Idaho for a few days back in 2016 on motorcycle. Idaho is where I would like to take my next trip. Getting warm back here in St Cloud area, will be in the 60's later in the week.

    Really confused about you having a waste caddy and moving your rig to dump your tanks. The caddy should eliminate the need for that…..

    • @TheBorderHookups
      @TheBorderHookups  8 месяцев назад

      Good question. In this case the dump station was 5 miles away. We would have had to make several trips. It was easier to tow in and do it in a single trip. We we use caddy when are in a RV park where there isn’t a dump at our site, but the campground has a general dump station. Does that make sense? 😉
