- This is a guide on how to beat triage on impossible with the challenge on. Matabele ants add a unique challenge to Empires of The Undergrowth. I was a little slow the first few times so hopefully you found my success, and failures, helpful. I swear I'm a pro at EOTU.
rainbow lizards seem to ignore ur ants when they just spawn and are travelling to their determined spot where theyre going to hang out
Yeah I've noticed they ignore and are ignored for a certain amount of time. If you're lucky and can gather your army at the lizard before this weird timer runs out you can dispatch of them with minimal casualties.
@@basdejong1598 ur correct! its actually rly easy once u get the hang of it

Camel Spiders and Sun Spiders are basically the same thing.
Just to answer that question about the medic bug:
Yes, it is a bug. The medics are trying to pick-up a body that was devoured by a lizard/mantis.
It's gone so well with this new strategy (at first I would raid one, and then move onto the next, but just waiting a bit outside of their vision distance gives more food over time), but then of course my basic rng experience had to start again. An African mantis wandered into the trail, and killed every single ant I had and of course had to camp right on top of my entrance... Thanks game.
Edit: should've kept on watching. Did not think about raiding an entire nest.
Good tip: Always pick fast responder, cuz 30 anethetist vs. 30 fast responder = fast responder win, also same with power 2 and 3.
Was enjoying this game until this mission. Thanks for the tips
I wanna see how you do 5.3 with the challenge on, its insanely hard.
for me that was the easiest mission by far so you might have not been processing food fast enough. Did you upgrade workers, the fungus garden ect?
@@randomperson5512 Its not the early and mid game thats the issue, its when the only food on the map belongs to the other colonies. I have successfully killed one of the colonies before but i couldn't have enough food to survive both the termite raid and the Matabele. And even tried to survive until the other mounds get killed but i died at over roughly 2900 termite resistance from the top mound and 3100 from the bottom.
@@teostancu364I make sure I have food in the nest that's not gathered from the extra chambers you can dig out near the end. It's good to rush major workers to the enemy colonies food supplies with soldiers protecting so they can gather and switch between the two colonies so you don't face any of them. Also the timing is hard but if your lucky you can let there workers harvest the food for you and then get soldiers to gather the food off the ground but that's not very reliable. Also I gather the food that's closest to the colony being raided by the Matabele ants when the raids are happening so I just avoid all conflict for the most part. Also I maxed out my soldiers instead of going for quantity and it went well so maybe you didn't do that? Idk but by the point of the end I have a chamber of level 3 minor soldiers and around 13 level three major soldiers. I don't even really keep storage food cause there's maybe like 1 ant death by the end and the food basically stores itself very fast. Also I noticed a huge increase in DPS near the end when I upgrade my majors compared to actually fighting a skirmish it becomes a massacre. The termite raids are also by that point basically not a threat by the time they happen am almost done with all my upgrades and ants so there's no issue. For me it's only hard in the start so idk what you doing wrong
@@randomperson5512Just beat it today. Thanks for replying my dude.
FYI: I wasn't playing economical and wasn't using the first night to build workers, I was building soldiers untill the matabele would arrive and at the time of the raid I would always have 20 Minor Soldiers ready for them. But because i rushed Soldiers and negligated the Major Workers, when it came to recourse gathering and better army than the other Termite Colonies I would fail and lose the mission.
And as for the small amount of enemies (The Tiny Earwigs)in the early game, lvl2 major wokers are more than enough to deal with them.
I think the reason you keep losing is because is that as you say matebele ants is quality than quantity and from the short clips you keep making a lot of ants.
From my experience using matabele is that their gameplay is very different than other ants. They are more efficient when using multiple groups than one group unlike the other ants like fire ants where you can just trail or leave a mark and let them do their thing.
Btw, it takes me like 6 time in hard mode to beat before learning their gameplay lol
Love to see more tutorials, please make them for the other levels!
my mind goes to ease as i know im not the only fool who restarts 7 times or more to learn and always try new ways.
isn't this the only way to beat missions on impossible?
@@yoozzeee PROBABLY NOT...but you gotta work hard and really really rely on luck
@@muhammedmuha4846 sad truth, even tho luck dependency can be avoided most of the times
@@yoozzeee to be honest thats the fun about this game...its not always in your hand....NATURE SO EXCITING, is it not?
@@muhammedmuha4846 not really. If you screw up, you'll need to meet with this exciting nature over and over again
thanks for the hard work

i think the medic standing there is a bug too
