      Best decade in the history of mankind sounds like a bit of a stretch. The 80s sure produced great entertainment out of the US and its lackies like Japan and Europe. But around the same time crime, war, anarchy, economic turmoil throughout the world was also at its peak value unlike previous decades. Most people during the 80s contemplated the collapse of the US. Had the Soviets not dissolved their Union by 1991, the US would have spiraled and imploded from ballooning spending on military and what not, the way it is happening today.

      Tbf the 2000s was amazing too things began to deteriorate in the late mid 2000s but the first big thing was 9/11 (obviously an inside job) that was used to create a war ruin a generation of men, strip people worldwide of freedoms and give the NSA and other 3 letter agencies so many tools and allowed them to use illegal methods to spy on people etc. Things got much worse in the 2010s with politicians who leaned far left and gave in to the woke mob and technology becoming lifeless and soulless. It's crazy how much technology had life in the past now it's all about money

    While I was growing up in the 90s and the 2000s,I did watch a lot of 80s movies as a kid,so I do miss the 80s cool aesthetic.
    Can you also do a video on 80s cool cartoons? Cartoons from the 80s and 90s that had many of these 80s cool elements,as well as badass theme songs in the intro (I think stuff like Transformers, TMNT, Biker Mice From Mars, M.A.S.K., 1992 X-Men, 1994 Iron Man, 1993 Speed Racer, etc. would fit that category).

    • @LifeofSlicey1
      @LifeofSlicey1  6 месяцев назад +5

      Biker Mice was a cartoon I had on my mind when I made this video. I don't think I could put myself through the torture of watching those old cartoons again. X-Men is still great, but 90% of the cartoons from that era don't hold up without extreme nostalgia bias. They were definitely a big part of the 80s Cool story though.

      @@LifeofSlicey1 Yeah,I agree,I tried to rewatch some of the cartoons I watched as a kid,and while some are still fun to watch,others don't hold up. X-Men is great compared to most others,though that could be because it introduced some of the new elements that later became standard for 90s cartoons (more serious stories, more complex characters, Wolverine as an antihero protagonist, etc.)

      @@ashleybanks-wm4cg I disagree, most 80s cartoons were just lenghty ads for toys, with very basic scripts. After The Simpsons came out, the industry changed towards absurd/ironic humor and that worked a lot better for US cartoons (until the late 2000s, where it was clear the US cartoon industry was having trouble to think outside the animated sitcom model). The influence of anime (which took a while to actually become popular in the US) is also important on how scripts became deeper in the 90s/2000s.
