Due to experiments with Feferi, Kanaya has a rainbow jellyfish form that can be maintained for a small amount of time. Andrew Hussie is god; therefore, he can be whatever he wants to be. The animals based on the human cast are usually made from Mituna's experiments. In them, he combines the DNA of one of the staff members with some of Feferi's, which creates an egg, which might hatch into a new animal. This is why we can have Starfish Dave and Penguin Dave at the same time.
