Tonight I was editing our video with footage from August 27th 2021 at around 6:00pm from the Grand Tetons area. It was in Spread Creek Dispersed Camping land.
We passed by a white van and both Kyle and I recognized that they had Florida plates (we are from Florida too) and wanted to stop to say hi, but the van was dark and it didn’t look like there was anyone there. So we kept going. We eventually left and parked up front in the gravel area.
Today I got a comment from someone on Instagram saying “please tell your 10k followers about finding gabby!”
I didn’t think much of it, I knew we were in the Tetons area around the 25th but wasn’t sure which day.
Tonight, I was editing our Sunday video and it was of our August 27th footage. I paused my editing and went to lay in bed.
I opened Facebook and saw that @fettisonthemove had tagged me in a story asking me to check all my videos from the 25th-27th of August.
I INSTANTLY got a bone chilling feeling. I leapt up and ran to my laptop. I watched the rest of my footage and sure enough, her van was in the video.
We saw the National Park Service Post an update that they were looking at activity in the Spread Creek Area of the Tetons.
The reason why I am sharing this, is because when we left to go up to the gravel lot, we got a message from someone on Instagram saying they saw us drive through the Spread Creek Area and are now following us, watching our videos. We have our logo on the back of the bus with social media stickers.
I thought that if other people in the area that day saw us and started watching our videos, they may watch this one and realize that they too may have seen Gabby Pepito or Jason Laundrie in the area that day and could lead investigators to find Gabby!!
This is what cracked the case and brought Gabby home. God bless you for coming forward. RIP Gabby

Maybe their son lead them without them knowing to this place. Without them she might have never been found.
I find it interesting that some people are saying this ISNT what led investigators to find her body….yet the media is saying this is EXACTLY the video that led them to search that area!
As someone from that area in Wyoming I can tell you finding her in that spot would have been a needle in a haystack without the video to pinpoint the location.

This video also helps! If there was no video, they would have found the body but there would be no clues about how it got there. This is more than enough to link it with the van.
Yeah I'm so glad they had this video. Many times I thought trying to find her body might be impossible. That whole area is very rugged mountain country. I have camped on that road Many times elk hunting.

The odds that you would have gone down this road, with a video camera recording and capturing their van are astronomical. There are no accidents. You shared that you lost your son. I don't know if the date matches up to around the time Gabby went missing and you were there, but regardless, I am convinced he is an angel & he guided Gabby as she crossed over, and he guided you all down that road with your camera to help her and to hopefully bring justice for her ultimately so she can fully rest in peace. I am heartbroken over this as I know many are. Praying for Gabby, her families and to everyone who has helped her - including you all.

@@kyraharrison6296 when the word spread they saw that someone mentioned them on their video; do you know how lucky that was that they thought to go back and saw that van in that massive park. They went back and looked over their videos for those specific dates and found this footage and gave it to the fbi; they didn't have to do that at all. On more than one occasion I've been out of town and saw a car from my state and wanted to chat also but I'm not as communicative as I used to be and this time I'm glad they weren't too because he might've hurt or killed them too but good job of them going back and looking through their trip footage.

@@zerowaste7117 1:32 shows the open door using a 3X magnifying glass or larger. He turns around and you see the van again at 8:01 from the front.

Gabby was from New York and lived with his family in Florida and they traveled across the country documenting their trip on social media. Not too difficult to understand the media attention.
My heart breaks hearing the story of the loss of your own son, and my deepest condolences to you both. You are ANGELS to the Patito family and you being in this location when it mattered most has busted this case right open, and has provided Gabby's family with closure. I was hoping that people would get the word out to review their dash cam, cell phone cameras and other videos around that time frame to help piece this together and find Gabby. This find helped to bring peace to her family. There must be a spiritual connection between your son and Gabby, of all the places you could have traveled to on that day, at that time, down a road less traveled. It is no coincidence. @@BarbieDoll2006T1 Those look like trees in the marsh the creek runs through. If you look closely the back passenger door of the van closes as the RV approaches it. It's hard to place Brian out in the creek burying a body and closing the door of the van at the same time. If it was Gabby that closed the door, then why would Brian have been digging?
They can now do that to find her missing murderer. Tell everyone in whatever area he lived in who was there when he disappeared to review their footage!

You helped significantly, the information leading the FBI and law enforcement in finding Gabby. Thank you! It is a horrible tragedy, but your sighting of her van at that location, on that day, and turning it in to the police was absolutely key, because it zeroed in on where she was on a key date.
This dash cam video solved the case. They had the foresight to document their journey and gave closure to a grieving family. Thanks.
If that dash cam was off this could have dragged on for months even years.

Bless you, for taking the time to find the footage...You most likely saved Gabbys family months if not years to find their daughter Gabby's remains and have some closure to what happened to their daughter...they might have never found her with the elements and wild animals in the area.

So...wondering what Brian was doing. This was the 27th. He was alone and hitchhiking on the 29th. (Miranda Baker) so he must have decided to go back and get the van and go home to FLA instead of leaving the van.

She may still be alive in this video. It appear the back door of the van was open as the bus approached then someone closed it. There was a pair of sandals on the ground which look similar to the sandals she was wearing in the police cam video. Just an observation.

This is what you're looking for: (driving towards the van) 1:45 and 8:01 (driving away from van, look at the right side)
Edit 1: As pointed out by other people, as the vehicle with the camera is rounding the corner at 1:31 you can see the rear door of Gabby's van is open, but as they get closer it shuts (timestamp 1:35, it's easier to see if you run the video at 0.25 speed). Obviously someone is still inside the van and closed the door. If you have trouble spotting this increase the video resolution to 4K and view it on a large monitor or TV.
Additional analysis: I considered if this black line (representing the gap of the opened door) was just a tree shadow, but looking carefully at the trees as the vehicle is approaching, it definitely is not. There is no tree in between the line of sight from the vehicle to to the van.
Edit 2: There is a LOT of discussion going on about a figure in the open field on the left, supposedly digging. There are even claims of people seeing the figure with a shovel. The timestamp to check is 1:47, at the gap between the leftmost bush and the second (from the left) dark bush, it's at the bottom of the U-shaped border formed by the tops of the bushes. It looks like a black letter "C". I have a large high-quality monitor which I often use for photo editing, plus my near vision is perfect. Even looking at the video in 4K resolution I do NOT think it's a person (i.e. Brian). If it was, I believe the outline would be far more distinct considering the field is brightly illuminated by the sun. Also, consider these:
1. Assuming Brian is the one who shut the door, then who is that "person" in the field? An accomplice?
2. If that was Brian digging a grave, why would he do it in an open field, in broad daylight? I don't know how bright (or dumb) he is, but it would be incredibly stupid to do so, considering there are a lot of better, secluded spots like among the trees/foliage where there is lesser risk of being spotted.
My personal conclusion is that that "person" is just a feature of the landscape that coincidentally looks like the outline of a person kneeling.
Edit 3: Some people have difficulty seeing the van's door being closed while the Bethune family's vehicle is approaching it. Nirvgorilla made a video showing that portion magnified and played very slowly so that it dispels any doubt that it's a tree, a compression artifact, or the van's ladder. What a crazy thing to be a part of, just imagine you guys weren't really looking at cars on the side of the road, or you decided to go another route, or arrived too early or too late and the van was gone. Almost a month later to remember "hey i recognize that van from driving passed it" and have to scroll through hours of dashcam footage. Or maybe the dashcam just deleting the files after the sd card fills up. So much could've gone overlooked but it didn't. Now they found a body, haven't confirmed but c'mon. Dude is screwed and rightfully so.
They were editing their footage and happened to see it, they didn't remember and go look they were making a home video and editing footage and found it by accident

Actually it was two elk hunters who remembered seeing the van at the creek sparking the search of the campground. They found this footage after cops were already searching the area.
This age of everyone videoing everything had been a game changer!

I absolutely believe that this was maybe one of the only things they had to prove something considering the van was there and he came back with it and that's where the body was found. Thank God for this family video being shared and it is a shame that social media Hass to be the place that law-enforcement goes to these days for the crack their cases.

The prime location was where the van was parked. This location was key breakthrough for the FBI to find Gabby's body. The FBI discovered her body not too far away from this location thanks to the original video. Dirty Laundrie dumped her body nearby where the van was parked. RIP Gabby. May her family find justice and peace. God bless her family.

on Fox News she said that the only reason they remembered the van was because they noticed the Florida license plate and wanted to stop to say hi to fellow foridians, but noticed the van was dark inside so they just kept driving, yet in the footage they don't even remark on the van or slow down at all as they drive past it, what's up with that?

So, It's very likely that Gabby was already dead in the video taken by the Bethunes. Possibly body still in the van.
Aug 25: Gabby speaks with her mother regarding being near Grand Teton
Aug 26: Brian is spotted by Jessica Schultz on this same dirt road driving the van with nobody in passenger seat acting awkward/confused and got out of van and looked around
Aug 27th: -Tex Mex in Jackson Hole confirms Gabby and Brian being there, couple see's Gabby crying and Brian being aggressive and angry with server/s around 1-2pm.
-Van is seen again by Jessica Schultz parked on side of this Spread Creek road
-Bethune family drives by van around 6pm and someone is inside and closes the door (with Brians sandals seen in video sitting outside van)
-Gabby's Mom receives strange text from Gabby's phone referring to her Grandpa as "Stan" (which Gabby's never done) then phone is turned off right after.
Aug 28th: Van still spotted on side of Spread Creek road by Jessica Schultz with no sign of life
Aug 29th: Woman, Miranda Baker, reports picking up hitch-hiking Laundrie for a short ride around 5:30pm and he spoke about his fiancé working on vlog back at van
- Second woman, Norma Jalovec, reports picking up hitch-hiking Laundrie and dropping him off back at Spread Creek around 6:30/6:40pm-gives same story about fiancé.
- Van is no longer seen parked on side of this road by Jessica Schultz
Aug 30th: Second text sent to Gabby's Mom "No service in Yosemite"
Sep 1st: Brian returns home in Van to his family without Gabby
Sep 19th: Gabby's body is found near where the van was parked in this video
Side Note: It's roughly a 35.5 hr drive from Spread Creek to North Port, FL straight thru. Gabby's van that Brian returned home with was detected exiting I75 near North Port at 10:26AM on Sep 1st.
My theory is he killed her (accidental or out of rage) went hitchhiking sometime between the 27th and 28th, making up the story to the people on the 29th who gave him that ride that he was camping alone for a few days, which he hoped would give him an alibi. Probably hoping her body would be found while he was hitchhiking, camping alone, or something. Ultimately he decided to drive the van back home on the 29th without her and initially playing dumb like it was just any other breakup. Although sh*t has spiraled out of his control and now's he's scared as F, so off he ran.

My theory is he did not drive back to Florida but stayed.
His father Christopher or/and relative drove van back.
Brian was not seen in Florida.
The parents did go on a 'camping' trip with I believe someone else who joined them to appear like this was Brian. This was a cover up the fact he never came back but was on the run.
The next door neighbour said he saw the vans arrive back at Laundrie house. It was after dark and because the headlights were shining in his window, he got up and looked out. He said he saw "THEM" unloading van that night. He must have reported it to olice or newscater on the scene. This is because this video was him being interviewed by the reporter early after she was pronounced missing. I have gone back and looked for that video but can not find it. RIP Gabby. 💫 💗💫

He probably left her like she was afraid of. While he was gone, someone else may have killed her. There'd been the newlyweds had been killed by gunshots to the head. It could have been the killer someone saw trying not to be seen.
