Wow! Jeonju has a nice, old-Korean ambience. I love the courtyard of the hanok you stayed at. It looks like you forced yourself to swallow the silk worm larvae, even though you really didn't want to, out of politeness. It was funny how you had to chase it down with soju. lol. It looks like you appreciate textural contrasts in food. Try the chapsal donut. Its made with sweet rice flour and sweet red bean paste inside. The rice flour gives it a very pleasant, firm and chewy texture. You could even find it here in the States at Korean bakeries like Paris Baguette.
That hanok was so special and the owner was extremely lovely. Yeah-- silk worms weren't my fav! But I'll try anything once (especially if I. have an excuse to drink more soju, haha.) Hahahaha. Silkworms. From what I remember it goes well with soju. The more soju you drink the better it taste. HAHAHAHA. Being raise here in the states. Never had silkworm but knowing some Corean culture I think it something you pair with several shots of soju.
11:20 Many Koreans first experience silkworm cooked with soy sauce at a very young age when they don't know the word 'silkworm'. So we thought silkworm were edible. When we become elementary school students, we see live silkworm and think, "Is this it?... Wow...." hahaha :)

I think we ate at that teokkgalbi place when we were in Jeonju for our honeymoon, they had this mixed rice wrapped in a lotus leaf that was amazing
We’re renting hanboks with my parents today! It’s their last day in Korea.
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed our video and hope you check out some others.
너무 귀여워 😍
🤗
it's hard to find trash can on the street in korea. inconvinient but it helps to keep street clean
actually when you dump trash in korea we can only use certain plastic bag which you can buy any convinient store
Thanks for clarifying!
Seoul also need such that peaceful place which is rustic and no high buildings.
I think Seoul has some great public spaces! The stream in the middle of the city is unique and a nice reprieve.
Hahahaha. Silkworms. From what I remember it goes well with soju. The more soju you drink the better it taste. HAHAHAHA. Being raise here in the states. Never had silkworm but knowing some Corean culture I think it something you pair with several shots of soju.
Maybe it wasn't super clear, but have no fear, I chased the silk worms with PLENTY of soju! 😆
@@StephandPete Maybe I wasn't super clear its a drinking game

Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 🙂
11:20 Many Koreans first experience silkworm cooked with soy sauce at a very young age when they don't know the word 'silkworm'. So we thought silkworm were edible. When we become elementary school students, we see live silkworm and think, "Is this it?... Wow...." hahaha :)
That’s really interesting! Thanks for sharing!
6:00 What a lovely scene.. ^^
잘 봤습니다..👍

You should visit Gyeongju, Yeosu, and Jeju ;-)
We didn't have time this trip, but we're already wondering when we can revisit Korea. We loved it so much. Thanks for watching.
@@StephandPete Many Korean parents take their kids to live in Jeju for a month or even a year. I hope you come back next time :-)
wonderful Korea ok
good video ~
Thanks!
Aw, thanks, Rita!!! Enjoy Korea, and Nami Island! :)
Loved the time lapse by the river! and I also think silkworms are gross. No one in my family eats or likes them (and we're Korean), so don't feel badly!
Pete will appreciate you saying that so much! 😂 It seems most of our subscribers also dislike the silk worms...phew!
korea - Gyeongju , jeju recommend
