Thanks a lot for this video! When I suggested it, I was skeptical that you would find enough information, because in Bulgaria access to our "legendary" animation cinema is terribly limited, and I thought that there was no way you would find something that I don't know, but... you disproved me! There were things I hadn't heard of, thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! Bulgarian animation is terribly underrated, and I think there are great experimental films there. I'm glad you gave her a chance and introduced people to her! Greetings!
I remember coming across at least one animated short from Greece on RUclips, dating from around 1970, but I don't remember any details of its production.
I would love that too, especially if you give special mention to the works of Renè Gorscinny and other French comic artists with Asterix and Lucky Luke
Wow, I didn't even know Bulgaria had such rich animation! Overall, I must say, European Eastern Bloc had absolutely spectacular filmography, even though the USSR itself still far outcompeted them. I'd love to see you do videos about each of the USSR republics and their cinematography (maybe both live-action and animation, the latter alone wouldn't be enough to fill a whole video), from the big guys of Russia and Belarus to smaller but still very notable ones like Latvia, Armenia and my home country of Georgia!
I think you can do a great video on Canadian animation. NFB has a great collection of animated shorts. Some directors from your eastern european animation videos moved to Canada later in their career as well, like Bretislav Pojar.
A good introductory survey of one of the more overlooked animation traditions among the Eastern European countries. Many of the animators' names cited here were new to me. I'm partial to the flat, highly stylized look cultivated by the Bulgarian artists in the Sixties and Seventies, finding a kind of timeless appeal in that aesthetic.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and when I saw u just made one about my home country I was shocked. I never imagined we had such an interesting animation history. It really is a shame that most of it has faded into obscurity instead of being celebrated, spread and used as inspiration for future Bulgarian animators. Anyways, great video as always
I wonder where can all the bulgaria animation is found? Its one of the more obscure animations found in europe even more obscure than Yugoslavia, Soviet Union, Hungary and Czechoslovakia combined.
9:10 I’ve tried finding this film for so long and can’t get it anywhere. Out of curiosity, where did you get a copy from? I’m a semi ardent fan of Petkov’s work.

Finally, a guide for my home country's animation history. Най-накрая и нашите анимационни филми да бъдат споменати във видеото на някой от чужбина.

I think I've seen Bulgarian Treasure Planet about 9-10 times. You need to see the dub tho, it really adds to the experience
I watched some clips of it... shocked to hear Bryan Cranston on it!
