I always wanted to learn about these crash bars. It looks too tough, I expect that in the real crash it will destroy the mounting spots on the car body, isn't it?
+Andrey Studentsov no the part the crash bumper is attached to. The crash bar is just replacing the bumper and the bumper it self is not made to absorb the impact....the part the bumper/crash bar is is attached to is whats made to absorb the impact.
+chester field Not exactly....but yes the video was part of a larger build. I wanted to pull out just the tube front build section and make it its own video
+bigglesworth300 a lot of people search for just the crash bar builds and would never find it in the widebody video so I made it a separate video. Updates on the entire build this week.
The rear bumper delete part sounds awesome, bring it on. Thanks for the videos guys

I always wanted to learn about these crash bars. It looks too tough, I expect that in the real crash it will destroy the mounting spots on the car body, isn't it?
+Andrey Studentsov I think in a real crash that part of the car is made to crumple.
+The Fab Forums The crash bar or the front-end of the car?
+Andrey Studentsov no the part the crash bumper is attached to. The crash bar is just replacing the bumper and the bumper it self is not made to absorb the impact....the part the bumper/crash bar is is attached to is whats made to absorb the impact.
+The Fab Forums Got it, thanks. Hm, it would make sense, to design the crash bar so, that it absorbs the impact.
Is that hooked up to your core support?
what size tube , and plate for the bracket did you use?
Could I order one
How much for a basic version of this for a 2012 genesis coupe ?!
Recommended size tubing for something like this?
it really depends. I would go with 1 5/8
moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
+Sam XV00 soon...very soon. Maybe even tomorrow
Do you have all the tube measurements? I’m looking to do this on my e46
no
What size tubing is that? 1” schedule 40?
I think it was 1.5 DOM
How much for one ?
I want to start making tube bumpers what size tube should I get?
depends on the use
Why is this reposted again?
+reallybigfooted its just the crash bar build. Description explains it all.
+The Fab Forums I know but I was hoping that it was more of that build. Lol. Great job with all the videos though.
+reallybigfooted update coming tomorrow
you uploaded this video already ?
+chester field Not exactly....but yes the video was part of a larger build. I wanted to pull out just the tube front build section and make it its own video
