To see any place of significance or debatable insignificance (if you can truly make an argument for any square mile/kilometer of this earth as being unworthy of acknowledging) from any time period prior to the last 20-30 years when efforts of mass posterity and historicity through pictures, videos, and other forms of media; is something completely invaluable. No matter how obscure or well known it is. It shows us how things were, at least visually, from one time period or another. And this showing of South Devon is no different!
A bit of cultural anachronism I keep spotting for when it comes to video projects such as these featuring Osborne's music: Curiously, but not frustratingly, rarely ever will anyone use songs of his from the same year that it takes place in. Such as in this case, 1931. Thank you for using his music at all, and thank you for continuing the fight for historical preservation on film!

Thank you for you comments, It's sometimes difficult to find music to match the exact year of the footage, and I particularly like the Osborne sound so just use my favourites , I have used it on one or two videos over the years, preferably from 78rpm record. I have found amateur films like this are very popular, Family holidays , the local village fete etc , faces from the past, are often better than professional film. My wife and I visited South Devon every year untill 2011 and have feel a strong attachment to the area, Torbay and Dartmoor areas in particular,
