  • Halloween is right around the corner, so its a perfect time to talk about my spooky MOC of the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow. Come take an in depth look that goes from the under ground graves to the tree tops!

    I try to get to Sleepy Hollow every Autumn with my wife. It's one of our favorite places. This church is iconic, and you captured it beautifully. Absolutely incredible work! I wish this was a set I could buy and build.

    I think you should put the Horseman in the Church's graveyard.
    Legend says he rises from his unmarked grave site in the burial grounds. This local tale, btw, existed decades before Washington Irving wrote "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
    That's where the REAL Horseman was buried when they recovered his headless body from the battle field of White Plains. White Plains is the October 1776 battle site where a Hessian soldier's head was blown off by a cannonball shot by the Revolutionary Army.

    Absolutely love this build, especially the technique of the iron fence surrounding the graveyard and the discoloured stones in the wall. Love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    This is fantastic. I used to live down the way from Sleepy Hollow and miss visiting there. The church is fantastic. And, like you, I have felt that too many brick built trees don’t look natural. This tree is by far one of the best I have seen.

    This is like one of my favorite channels because it puts together two of my favorite things, Lego, and Halloween. Can you please do more headless Horseman stuff and maybe even create the movie out of it

    Your part usage is amazing. I did a large graveyard MOC many moons and all of my tombstones were brick built and they felt to big in scale. Yours work perfectly.

      Yeah a lot of old style tombstones we very thin, so making them out of a single plate or tile works well

    This is so good! Lego should %100 make this into a real set. Was this submitted to the Lego ideas? Not sure if that’s something that you want for your build. I’m just saying… I would totally buy it and it would be great as an early release for next October. Cheers!

      Ha, well its more of a personal moral thing. The fun / challenge of Lego is trying to build something with in the boundaries of existing bricks.
