The FNB ad when they say "Asimo States mo", it is a famous line by Dr Mageu in a Kwaito song from TKZee Family, which simply means "This ain't the United States of America. We do things differently."
Does anyone remember those childline ads, like Lucy Moonflower? Understanding it as an adult eventually was shattering. Those HIV scrutinize get wise ads were traumatising in a different way too lol. That animation style out-horrors even Tim Burton's imagination. Be cool to see a reaction to those.

The guy who says "dinner time" is one of my former basketball players whom I coached. The other guy in the same advert starred in a boxing movie that was inspired by Karate Kid and it was the first Xhosa movie that premiered in the cinema. I attended the premier and chaffuered him to his crib after the movie. He is also a Hip Hop MC.
