Technically it's not missing but wake up deserves a spot no doubt and I prefer no shelter over calm like a bomb if anything I would have taken out either bullet in the head or down rodeo

Im not gonna lie I don't know these guys I clicked on this because a while ago my dad got this old CD player from his uni years out of the garage and pressed the play button without checking what was inside and a band called "rage against the machine" started playing some song at FULL VOLUME and I never really listened to them after that but then I saw this video and have nothing better to do so I clicked on it and these guys aren't actually bad my dad got good taste in music
I found out about them by going through my dad's CD's and I saw 3 Rage ones so I took them and checked them out and now they're one of my favourite bands.

I found this list 9 months after it initially played. I try not to comment often as it can be annoying and I do believe everyone has an opinion. I am not young, but I was only 36 or so when I heard the first song that made me love this band so. "Killing in the Name" (your #1) was a 90's version of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs." I love the lyrics in both, I am a fan of both Ozzie Osbourne and Zach De Larocha (?sp?) and I deeply love the guitar work of both Tony Iommi (?sp?) and Tom Morello. I do not entirely disagree with your list (everyone has an opinion. I do like "Renegades of Funk" as in their video they pay homage to everyone from George Clinton to James Brown and many more. In my extremely eclectic music collection (Tchaikovsky, Eagles, Metallica, Tesla, Allison Krause, Matchbox 20, etc.) I own 2 Rage CD's.I do enjoy the WM lists as they are thought provoking. If anyone wonders why I like the music I do it is because it speaks to me. I love message music (War Pigs, Killing in the Name, Man in the Box, 3am, Immigant Song, Tupelo Honey, Crazy, Longer, My Hero, Interstate Love Song, Live Like You Were Dying, etc.,) it musically touches me (the opening to Enter Sandman is so absolutely rock, Joan Jett does great covers, Pat Benatar's voice is amazing, etc. If you want to talk guitars, so my love (Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Jerry Cantrell, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the previous mentioned, etc.) I just love music. PapaJohn6969 from your point of view. In my top 10, I would have put those. I can understand why you don't like Battle, there are big,simple hits that can become a bit cringeworthy, but some tracks are just super genuine to me and feel like the most soulful ones.
That's fair. I feel like their debut album was super authentic. They made those songs when they were normal everyday people and not famous. They are talking about real problems and shit. Once they got to Battle it seemed like they (or at least Zach) lost the passion. There are some tracks I really like on Battle. War Withing a Breath is great and so is Born of a Broken Man, but I don't think id put them in top 3.
PapaJohn6969 feel ya. Some tracks like Settle for Nothing or Freedom really hit me. But I can't bring myself to love Bombtrack or Killing in the Name, which are to me among their weakest tracks. Poetry evolved in a good way too. Rather than brutally hitting society, lyrics rely more on beautiful metaphors like in Born Of a Broken Man :" an empty glass of himself". Just because a band is politically involved doesn't mean that all of their songs have to directly criticize contemporary society. And you want to talk about authenticity ? Listen to Ashes in the Fall. I feel like the less good tracks on this album are the hits. Even though I like Sleep Now, Guerilla radio and Testify, they kinda sound...easy,if you know what I mean, especially Testify.

I always liked Maggie's Farm.
I found this list 9 months after it initially played. I try not to comment often as it can be annoying and I do believe everyone has an opinion. I am not young, but I was only 36 or so when I heard the first song that made me love this band so. "Killing in the Name" (your #1) was a 90's version of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs." I love the lyrics in both, I am a fan of both Ozzie Osbourne and Zach De Larocha (?sp?) and I deeply love the guitar work of both Tony Iommi (?sp?) and Tom Morello. I do not entirely disagree with your list (everyone has an opinion. I do like "Renegades of Funk" as in their video they pay homage to everyone from George Clinton to James Brown and many more. In my extremely eclectic music collection (Tchaikovsky, Eagles, Metallica, Tesla, Allison Krause, Matchbox 20, etc.) I own 2 Rage CD's.I do enjoy the WM lists as they are thought provoking. If anyone wonders why I like the music I do it is because it speaks to me. I love message music (War Pigs, Killing in the Name, Man in the Box, 3am, Immigant Song, Tupelo Honey, Crazy, Longer, My Hero, Interstate Love Song, Live Like You Were Dying, etc.,) it musically touches me (the opening to Enter Sandman is so absolutely rock, Joan Jett does great covers, Pat Benatar's voice is amazing, etc. If you want to talk guitars, so my love (Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Jerry Cantrell, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the previous mentioned, etc.) I just love music. I will be listening to your other lists and again, I so appreciate you WM!

thats the problem with these top 10 XXX songs...their criteria is based on fan favs and commercial success and not which songs are better than others and whatnot.
it seems like a cop-out for watchmojo and their researchers or w/e to actually know the bands and their music, and just do simple google searches to see which will be on the list, in my opinion.

Definitely not. Battle of lost angeles isnt that good of an album compared to their debut and evil empire

I can understand why you don't like Battle, there are big,simple hits that can become a bit cringeworthy, but some tracks are just super genuine to me and feel like the most soulful ones.
That's fair. I feel like their debut album was super authentic. They made those songs when they were normal everyday people and not famous. They are talking about real problems and shit. Once they got to Battle it seemed like they (or at least Zach) lost the passion. There are some tracks I really like on Battle. War Withing a Breath is great and so is Born of a Broken Man, but I don't think id put them in top 3.
PapaJohn6969 feel ya. Some tracks like Settle for Nothing or Freedom really hit me. But I can't bring myself to love Bombtrack or Killing in the Name, which are to me among their weakest tracks.
Poetry evolved in a good way too.
Rather than brutally hitting society, lyrics rely more on beautiful metaphors like in Born Of a Broken Man :" an empty glass of himself".
Just because a band is politically involved doesn't mean that all of their songs have to directly criticize contemporary society.
And you want to talk about authenticity ? Listen to Ashes in the Fall.
I feel like the less good tracks on this album are the hits. Even though I like Sleep Now, Guerilla radio and Testify, they kinda sound...easy,if you know what I mean, especially Testify.
