Their lyrics are ok so is the guitar and drums but the singing is shite for the most part.

I think Toxicity is one of the greatest metal albums of all-time, literally not a single mediocre track on the entire album, it's one of those rare albums where listening from front to back is absolutely amazing.
I agree 100%, When I was still a teenager, I listened the Toxicity album everyday and I never skipped the songs list. Because all of them are amazing!

I’ve pretty much listened to SOAD’s whole discography, everything from Self titled to Hypnotize and even though I have a lot of favorites from them like Question! ATWA, Science to name a few, Chop Suey is my all time favourite from them. It’s that one song I could listen to on repeat and never get bored of it.

I’m not a huge SOAD fan but the track that stuck out to me the most was actually War?. The riff on that one is just incredible.
I remember walking into leading edge music in Penrith sydney and seeing in the new release metal section a band called "system of a down" the cover had a hand on it and it was produced via rick ruebin, i picked up that badboy and had a listen to it via a listening post and was blown away...i bought the cd and promoted that to anybody who would listen...sugar, ddevil, spiders, suit pee, know..the whole thing.
Needless to say their next album was massive and then everybody had heard of them....i have not been dissapointed in any of their releases and seen them 3 times....the only dissapointment ive had is that they waited for ever to tour again, there hasnt been a new album in way too long and the fact that Johnny and marmalaide were not on steal this album ......oh and soldierside still gives me chills every listen. wonderful band

10:10 To 27 on the Billboard Hot 100. That combines all genres. That song managed to contend with the horrible pop songs and actually charted high. A metal song very rarely charts that high. The last ones being The Day that Never Comes by Metallica which was a top 30 and Metallica's One which hit 35.

Five Finger Death Punch- American Capitalist( debuted at #3)
Bob Higgens Metal albums can easily top the album charts. I mean singles that have to rely on pop radio stations.
***** You are right. Especially now. Back in the day if you didn't get radio play you simply were never heard because the radio was pretty much the only means to reach the masses with rock and roll. That is why people paid off djs to get their stuff played. Now with the internet and so forth it is not the same. Station are chasing the fans more so than vice versa which means metal can get it share of chart positions.

I LOVE System of A Down! They're one of my favorite bands and I really couldn't help but sing along to every song whether it was on the list or not. XD
I'm saddened that no tracks from Steal This Album was mentioned. That CD had some really good songs. Innervision, The Highway Song, Bubbles, Roulette. At least Forest made the list and Deer Dance got an honorable mention. Those are my all-time favorite songs by System.
I really like I-E-A-I-A-I-O and A.D.D from that album, most songs from Steal This Album are great, but those two are my favorites.
I could never memorize the lyrics to I-E-A-I-A-I-O! Stupid tongue twisters. But, yeah, those songs were awesome. Honestly, the only song I really didn't like about that CD was Ego-Brain. The other songs were awesome, though!
