With kyoshi being 230 years old, they need to make a whole series on her. So much potential for a great story!

It amazes me how Avatar continues to remain relevant to this day and is showing no signs of fading away
I know right. That why I consider it as a "classic show".
Avatar is such a good series. Like for real. I keep going back to watch and search for more answers. Like a big part of it is the RUclipsrs. Who do research a bring fresh perspectives new questions and answers. They all deserve a check fr.
I'm happy to hear that I just finished watching atlab and tlok and I didn't want to be apart of a already dead fandom. After finally watching it
Lmao, bruh that’s a green colored Netero. If he existed in Avatar he would clap all of them no difficulty. I thought you were talking about Bumi.
I believe Bumi learned the ability as well but could have died for other reasons.
Antoine Bandele
Oof, how do you think Bumi died?!
Remember bumi was a genius so it’s actually likely he went down swinging
Antoine Bandele its all that rock candy he’s been eating
Rudolf Ushiromiya swear
Bumi tells Aang that his Earthbending Master will be someone who 'listens', and Toph goes on to display her supreme ability to listen and manipulate the world around her. It seems likely that Earthbending masters who extend their life are masters of listening to their own internal flaws to find the places to 'correct'.
Bumi learned nen and prolonged his life force with it.
Now I'm thinking that this may be the way that Aang survived in the iceberg for so long. He was in the avatar state and took what Kyoshi learned from this discipline to keep himself alive and in the same shape as before.
@Purple Citrine that wouldn't make sense though because its implied that he created an air pocket that froze around him twice. Once when Katara hit the iceberg and air came out and again in the flashback of the storm.
It's similar to Airbenders learning to "become lighter than air" after they've lost all earthly attachments. All the elements have one of these nth level esoteric skills, imo.
Every form of bending is a discipline aimed towards it's own philosophy and form of unique enlightenment.
It is truly beautiful.
When you search for a pic on Google of an old, wise and badass looking animated character for the thumbnail of your RUclips video and you come across Netero like “yup that’s the one imma be using” 😂😂
Imagine if Netero was an Earthbender. He'd be able to move and perform bender techniques in less than a second, instant GG.
Chimera Ant arc wouldn't even last 5 mins of air time
@@thndfgnsgfnsrtmsns9782 nah Netero's nen ability is far more powerful than earthbending, but him earthbending would've been cool tho
L Hitman no
@@Emperial. lol yes. His attacks are not only extremely powerful, but they are as fast as sound. That's overkill for ATLA characters.
L Hitman *faster than sound
The fire chakra is an expression of energy. Which is often mistaken as having unlimited or substantial amounts of power in the body. However, this isn't the case or fire benders could create endless flames without break. No the fire chakra deals with the efficiency the body is able to produce, handle, and direct energy. As Iroh explained lighting bending it takes all of these into one. Producing the current, then being able to handle the energy without destroying your body then directing it to where you want it to go.
Water Chakra is an expression of control. Control refers to the transition of one type of energy to another. To remove or add all speak to transition. By being aware of the transitioning of energies one can maintain a precise charge. This can be seen in healing or blood bending. Healing finds the charges in the chi to keep the body in a state of recovery. Thus boosting healing abilities. Blood bending is to also lock onto this charge. So those who are greatly imbalanced can easily be controlled.
Air chakra deals are an expression of freedom. To eliminate the distinctions that are in the soul allows communication with the whole. Despite not having seeing it the potential for sound bending would express this. By finding the precise distinctions that create noise one would be meld with it. Allowing one to hear a precise conversation from miles away. This also speaks to spirit bending. By removing the distinction that the physical and spiritual are separate allows one to transcend their consciousness to another plane.
Earth Chakra deals and expression of stability. This stability can be seen through compression and realignment. To move yet to remain firm is the root of earth bending. As the body ages tear, cracks and all other damages lead to growth. Like building muscles, you essentially rip your muscles than as they repair they become more firm resulting in strength. The same idea with bones in their breakage the greater their stability the harder it is to break down and realign which is why earth benders can't bend pure metals like platinum. Its stability is pure so it won't change.
With all this in mind, this is why when seeing benders who combine practices of another element's teachings gave them greater abilities than a regular bender. Before the Rava situation, I believed any bender was able to bend any element. As guru Pathik (probably got that wrong) said everyone has chakras. However, life can disrupt and even close certain chakras. Yet those who are able to find balance in multiple gain new insight into the world. This insight allows for new skills. To take inventory of the entirety of the body would need earth and air nation ideologies. To remove the distinction that the body is separate and go deeper one can find these minuscule breaks in our bodies' aging process. Then by using earth bending to lock a certain distinction in place you can limit the effects of aging.
Whelp this what I learned from analyzing countless books referring to chakras, alchemy, psychology, and spirituality. Which you tend to find like in Avatar they pretty much say the same exact thing. However, people want to keep focusing on the details not the picture as a whole.
This is pretty interesting
This is a very interesting theory, I think I would argue that the way people always were before rava was with these paths blocked, which is why the lion turtles had to unblock those paths to give these people the gift of bending. But otherwise very interesting and grounded theory!
@@kyleparker613 You're probably right. Guru Pathik said everyone has these chakras but bending only occurs when their open 100%. It could also explain bending being passed on or not. Like Punnet squares for dominant and recessive traits. Yet choices in life often determines if it opens or closed. So it is a spiritual and physical kinda thing.
This is one of the best analyses of Avatar spirituality and bending that I've ever seen, great explanation! I love that you look at the whole picture, all four elements and how they relate. Iroh would be proud
Smartest and most believable theory I agree may I screenshot it and show the creators of avatar
I always figured a waterbender would figure out virtual immortality given the healing abilities unique to waterbending.

Originally, I theorize that Kyoshi was influenced by the Sozin's Comet at a young age. Fire Benders who gained power from the Sozin's comet not only increase their power but increase their life expectancy. If Kyoshi absorb the Sozin's Comet early in life, then she is able to live 100 years to receive a second one and eventually a third one before passing away.
To make things simple
Kyoshi is born in 312 BG
Received the Sozin's Comet in 300 BG at age 12
Received the 2nd Sozin's Comet in 200 BG at age 112
Received the 3rd Sozin's Comet in 100 BG at age 212
But with this new information, maybe she combine Lao Ge's method of immortality plus Sozin's comet equal long life span like Bumi and Guru Pathik.
Anyway, good video Antoine, always enjoy some good avatar content
I'd expect immortality, or the bending of living energy, to be a form of firebending, or maybe waterbending, but not earthbending.
Well people do eat minerals to stay healthy
@@BlueCheeseLucci Most minerals people consume are in the water they drink and the vegetables they eat. And health doesn't make you immortal.

True. Prolongs your life, but not permanently.
@@BlueCheeseLucci yea water or fire cuz it deals more with chi then strength
Actually it's makes more sense for Earth if you think about it, what elements make up the human body.
Hm, I wonder why Zuko, Toph, and Katara were so disabled as elderly benders when characters like Jeong Jeong, Iroh, and Pako formed the original White Lotus with Boomy. It makes me wonder if Boomy was really the only one from that group with the ability to utilize that earth technique. It also makes me wonder if Iroh used it in his training regimen while preparing to escape from prison, and if so, it might be a technique that many people could learn if given the practice like understanding the relationships between water and lightning bending for redirection purposes and such.
Well team avatar were all in their 80s when we saw them old, the white lotus only had bumi that was really old and paku was in his mid 70s, iroh was in his early 60s and jeong jeong was probably around his 50s

Immortality can be achieved through all 4 elements of bending if bent properly, Because our bodies are comprised of all 4 elements.
Think about it: specific water tribe members get gifts from the moon spirit. Yue literally returns her life force back to the moon. Sozin turned his being into a comet, and Guru Lagshima and Zaheer untethered themselves from the earth learning to fly. Is it so wild to think that specially gifted earth benders could extend their life force?
Bending is discipline in the use of chi. Each elemental form denotes not only the use of said element, but the use of chi in a certain manner.
Therefore, each form of bending has it's own esoteric branch hanging out
@@cactus_juice5913 okay so removing Sozin as an example still leaves plenty of other examples from other nations. I think there's definitely a case to be made for gifted earth benders being able to extend their life force.
I feel like every aspect of the four main bending has a level of immortality: this placement thing, blood bending, “using the fire of life or something”, and spiritual enlightenment. Essentially, all these aspects could lead to immortality in benders. Now taking that into account, it seems like toph, katara, aang, and zuko have the potential to learn these traits, but obviously didn’t OR chose not to because it isn’t something they want. I feel like Katara has always intended to be a grandma and rest with her family in peace, Toph’s biggest dream is to be able to do nothing and have every right to do nothing in old age, Aang has an inevitable death tbh, and zuko has a really close tie to the people he loves. If everyone were gone, why would he want to strive to live forever? Bumi, on the other hand, seems to have no emotional ties or boundaries, and he has motive in keeping fit
True.
Each form of bending is not simply the control of an element, but a discipline in manipulating chi. All forms of it have an esoteric branch relating to this.
Cat looks like he's saying
"What, who, why, where, when, which, huh?" All at the same time lol
On one hand I dont want spoilers, but antoine vids are pure gold
I’m happy for you and your cat. Mine just died yesterday. I hope your’s lives a long life.
:-(
given the fact that cells are based on carbon compounds, I guess the key to immortality would be the bending of said carbon to work against the aging process
I don’t think you can bend carbon.
there is also the spiritual guru from A:TLA that was a friend of Gyatsu, which means he was as least as old as Bumi
another addition to the theory could be bumi’s personality. In the last airbender, bumi is still as freaky as we saw him aang’s flashback
Lol it means older brother, we also us it like bro for men older than us within our generation. TieGuai (Tye-gwai) is one of the eight Daoist immortals who achieved immortality by cultivating the Dao. His name translates to iron crutch and is often depicted with an iron leg. With Kuvira bending ferrofluid I can see him bending ferrofluid as a limb like Ming-Hua
Always thought it was weird that earthbender is didn't do anything with their own body considering your body is just made of earth
He has either an insane control of chi or simply his body to the point that he could rearrange or recalibrate his body. DAyum.
First one.
He closed it off.
Well, I’d imagine that the Airbenders would have found the way to eternal life, given their knowledge of the spiritual world and it’s mysterious ways.
I’d imagine that maybe they at least are longer lived that any other nations’ peoples.
Like our world has people over 100 years old, mostly in Asia, in comparison to most other humans in the other parts of the world.
Fire Nation Soldier In a way it’s because how the way they were represented as monks. But I see only Water benders and Earth Benders being able to do that. Water bender can heal them selfs and if their sick I see them being able to getting mucus out of their body. For Earth benders it makes sense to connecting to the nature is becoming 1 with creation I see them being able to know what’s good to eat because they are technically Earth and what to use to heal them selves when horribly ill. For air bender I see them as the most dangerous when it comes down to their ability air is everywhere or at least where ever you are standing and breathing. Fire benders I see them as just as dangerous but also more of the ones that gives energy
Water is always flowing changing, fire going to and fro, air is something like a spirit and earth is firm and steady so I get it
Maybe all benders (or even all people for that matter) can achieve immortality, we just haven't seen that yet? Like with bloodbending, someone had to come up with how to do this.
Kacper Lubiński yeah that already has been explain in the avatar but what hasn’t been explained is the immortality that the earth bender achieved.
I mean, it's not like they both cannot find a way to eternal life but their ways are fundamentally different. Air would seek it by spiritual means, by freeing one from the material world. Earth on the other hand is the element of stability. Earth by itself simply is, and as such, eternal life would mean an eternal body
Since it really is unclear to a few people what Lao Ge is referring to, here is my theory on how this "immortality" really works.
In the books Lao Ge says
"With the right mental focus, you could take an inventory of your own body and place each little piece that’s not where it should be back into the correct order.”
he also says a bit more but overall interpret him as talking about the body at a scientific level. The reason why the body dies of old age is because cells mutate to a point where they stop working the way they should. Cancer is also caused by cell mutation and growth. So I think the technique he is using is a molecular process where they manually somehow and spiritually remove mutated/stop mutations, possibly by manipulating the very chemical structures of DNA or even by controlling hormones, like they could possibly manipulate singular blood cells because blood cells contain iron (but the precision for that would probably be unheard of). Of course this would be insane to do for the whole body but the spirituality is also a big part. He probably would meditate for years or for very long periods of time to complete this process but in the end the body would be reduced to a controlled state, it also helps that earthbenders can basically make a map of their surroundings in their mind (ex. Toph echolocation). Maybe when you start doing it at a certain age you seem to stop aging. If kyoshi started using the technique at the age of 30 it would explain how she is able to look so young for so long. Idk just a thought
I love your beanies dude.
Thanks for the spoiler warning! I'll keep this in watch later!
Haha Hey Antoine! I didn't even realize this was your channel, I just saw the title and was interested since the Last Air Bender is the sh!t! Going to subscribe for sure!
The way he describes it corresponds with the moderne genetic theory that mitotic cell division renews the body by the cells dividing. Every time they divide something called Tellomers are shortened. In the cells of old people, it has been observed that the Tellomers are absent and the theory is that they get used up and eventually the mitotic cell division stops. In his understanding, he has achieved immortality by making a freeze-frame of his body that he over imposes on his current body. In modern genetic terms, he has stopped his mitotic cell division by taking a photocopy of his cells that he overlays on his body instead of letting the cells divide and cause the Tellomers to shorten.
If he was just holding himself together does that mean he has complete control over his body and if so couldn’t he shapeshifter
Honestly in awe at how GORGEOUS this set is!
Set? You mean my living room?
in Shadow of Kyoshi, Lao Ge visits Fire Lord Zoryu in the final epilogue chapter. At some point he presses a finger against his chest, which of course shouldn't hurt him very hard, but it causes Zoryu to gasp and fall back in his chair. I think this was Lao Ge using earthbending to bend Zoryu's body in sone way.
We've had "esoteric magic," as you put it, among the bending disciplines for some time now. Anti-gravity for airbending, divination for firebending, and arguably healing for waterbending. Earthbending, by contrast, has been absent an "esoteric magic" technique until recently. These are all techniques that aren't strictly tied to an elemental or martial reading of the bending styles; one can easily make arguments that these "esoteric magics" could be used by other elements. Fire maybe could heal through the lens of purification, antigravity could be a product of earthbending, immortality could theoretically come from waterbending, and divination comes from everywhere.
Is nobody gonna talk about the fact Lao Ge looks almost exactly like that dude from Hunter x Hunter in the thumbnail ?
I used to have that same. sweater! I gave mine to some girl who was shivering between classes and I haven't seen it or her since
I'm pretty sure everything was just DNA,mitosis and telomeres being discussed simply.
Actually that description of how to replenish your body missing resources makes complete sense as an earthbender and the primary components of the human body or foundations. So perfectly logical and surely cannon.
The avatar universe ain't ready for nen lmao
Low-key a random Chimera Ant would Destroy everyone in the verse except maybe the Avatar, and if that Chimera Ant is smart he might pull off a win.
M. Kagetsuchi no, the ant would absolutely blitz everything in verse and has much more deadly potential.
"he said" as a term is still correct even though they were asking a question. I see it all the time in books. Just because it's a question doesn't mean "he asked" needs to come after every time. I mean, they still said it whether or not it's a question.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I really want you to do a topic about Lion Turtles
In what fashion?
I love the idea that there were others like Laghima who spoke on really the longevity of one's self. With his detachment of earthly tethers he lived a prolonged life, I love the idea of someone opposite that is rooted and tethered to the earth that is living either as long or longer it's really interesting.
If Kyoshi mastered that technique, the series would be Kyoshi: The Last Avatar HAHAHAHAHAHAHA and instead of Aang and Bumi being best of friends, it would be Kyoshi and Bumi with mentor/mentee relationship. Hahahahahahaha
My girl Kyoshi was pushing well over 200 years old before she died... respect
I mean idk if Iroh is immortal since he managed to transfer to the Spirit World.
Actually the oldest person we met in avatar is Guru Patek he is 150 and bumi is 112
Bumi’s neutral jing is the stagnant immorality aspect
The reason that earthbenders have this ability and not fire or waterbenders is because, basically the earthbenders are “too stubborn” to die just like how Toph was so stubborn about the fact that she couldn’t metal bend so she just learned how to
They close off their chi.
Long story .
This type of immortality was a thing that's possible in Shin Sekai Yori, too. I don't think one would even necessarily have to be a bender to do it, though it probably helps.
You correct, that 老哥 means older brother...but 哥哥(gege) means older brother naturally...老哥 carries like emphasis on old. So it's more like saying Elder Brother or Ancient Brother. But you doing great, and your pronunciation was correct. Okay, there IS also tonality as well. Lao should be said starting kinda low pitched, then drop lower, but at the last second curve up (but stop before reaching your starting pitch). It's kind of like a U-shaped parabola of tone as you say 'Lao'. If you say Ge like a bit higher pitched and even sounding (and give it more duration than you do) you'd sound great! Not that you asked, but I like that you tried and got it pretty much spot on!
Rumor has it that the mastery of neutral Jing allows a person in the avatar universe extend there natural life span to unprecedented ages like avatar Kyoshi and boomi, earth benders can master neutral jing easier because of them listening to the earth, depending on level of mastery is how long a person can live
The person in the title looks like the guy off of hunterxhunter, doesn’t he?
JamesV Revey he is
C Woolslayer makes sense
This is an interesting theory. Maybe this style relies on the human body's need for iron, potassium, phosphorus, and sodium, which according to the Periodic Table are metals. Perhaps this earthbender discovered the natural metals in our bodies and was able to bend them to stay from withering
Somehow this sounds more like a theory from Fullmetal Alchemist than Avatar, since I believe 'the elements' in Avatar universe aren't similar to our scientific understanding of the composition of an elements.
I could totally see this being a more spiritual form of Earthbending. Like an Earth version of lightning or healing. Earth is all about stability and well stubbornness so them being able to "lock their bodies in time" makes a certain amount of sense.
Love the idea of this being the spiritual form of bending for earth.
I kind of want to see Lao Ge make a few cameos in other Avatar stories. I don't need to see him before Szeto's era but if I'd get a kick out of seeing him as far as Korra's era, not doing anything important just casually visiting one of his oldest friends
I think he might be dead by the time of Roku’s era. I suspect he and Kyoshi get into a fight over Chin
Just finished this book, and I'm blown away at how good the quality is and still aging up the formula (waterbending is deadly AF). If the critical eye of a fan since the first episode of ATLA can tell you that, I hope nobody will be on the fence about reading it and give it a shot.
I want to live forever
I used to think i did but that means u gotta watched everyone u know and love die, numerous times..
@@onmysoul2121 I would want immortality if it’s something I can just end whenever I want. Live as long as I want, immortal for as long as I wish, then someday I can maybe become mortal again and age and eventually die
Kyoshi lived to be 400 years old and the oldest bender in Aangs time was Zuko’s grandfather Fire Lord Sozin, he was born on the same day as Avatar Roku and lived through Aangs 100 years in ice so Sozin was anywhere from 300 years old to 400
I’d suspect that water-benders who are extremely proficient in blood-bending could eventually learn how to restore and restructure their and others very dna. Not only could that cause immortality, but change aspects of the genetic code based on the bender’s desires. Since all of the information that makes every living thing what they are resides within blood their blood cells. All a blood bender would need to figure out is how to perceive and understand the information within cells, then bend that information.
Alternatively, the fifth element (energy) controlled by an energy-bender could easily grant the bender immortality, and the bender could grant it to others; because according to the show, energy-benders literally control life energy.
Besides immortality, both water-bending, and energy-bending should allow the bender to make themselves physically superhuman by altering their physicality.
I can go on and on about the applications that could be used by all the bending arts.
I would believe Bumi's character but when he ate that crystal like he's eating crackers .. I disagreed ..no one can eat crystals like that .. lmao 😆😂🤣
It's rock candy
wait so the way being immortal was describe as like arranging yourself back in place. it mace me think of bumi and how he was hunched over and corrected his posture. feel like it’s a small detail but i feel like it supports it further. bodies are made of minerals so super advance earth benders can arrange their body
So what I'm getting from this is, he's either repairing his body for it, repairing his DNA so his body doesn't break down, or he's somehow found a way to stop his cells from dying or really doing anything and taking on all the responsibilities the body has keeping himself stagnant, to do that however he'd either have to multitask in the literal trillions or find some process to constantly reset his body over and over again. He'd basically need to both earth bend and water bend to do any of these thing.
I wonder if humans in avatar actually HAVE cells, in the biological sense?
The four elements are based on old greek (Socratic, specifically) scientific understanding. Maybe medicine is, too.
As in, the way human bodies in Avatar ACTUALLY WORK is the way the ancient Greeks THOUGHT that they worked...
I think earth benders can stay alive longer because they take after their element, for example a rock can stay in the same place for years and look like nothing ever happened, I also think that water benders can live longer because they also take after their element, for example a stagnant pool of water, might get dirty but remains the same. air and fire both move around and die, I think Aang just survived for that long because he was the avatar.
Byron talked about immortality is a bad thing because after you do everything well what next. If I live till I die that is enough and even 35 feels like I am going over things again
I think it might be about ruling gravity effects on human body. Both microgravity and hypergravity could harm longevity in different ways. I don't think writers really thought that through but gravity has an important role in water cycle too. Maybe earthbenders can generate the way earth pulls them to the ground somehow to stay healthy and live longer.
Aibenders are of an outward spirituality & their "ultimate" from/ability is when they fully realize and become that - Thus they can become one with the air & fly
Earth benders have the complete opposite in that those with an earthen spirit must look inward for spiritual empowerment, its necesary to become one with the earth. I guess the final stage of being one with the earth being immortality makes quite a bit of sense. it also explains how Bumi was like 112 years old and still kicking more ass than any general east of Iroh. (yes he dies, but one can obtain pieces without the whole of a concept or technique)
i like the way that there's an earthbender and airbender who have achieved some high level of spiritual attunement, and they're total opposites of each other. laghima detached himself from the earth and gained flight, lao ge learned immortality. so maybe it's attained by doing the opposite, attaching yourself to the earth. or it's also detaching yourself, lao ge doesn't seem to care about a lot of people lol. it's just interesting cuz flight is basically becoming the same as air, immortality is like becoming a stone. wonder if there's something similar for fire and water benders.
Thanks for giving me more information about avatar
Your the best!
I feel like Toph would also use this technique just so she could whoop the earthbending Avatar after Korra
It seems to be he’s moving minerals in the body around to put things back in place things like calcium salt sugar
So 老哥 literally translates to “older brother” but the word 老 has a certain implication of respect and wisdom. Therefore the term “respected elder brother” or “wise elder brother” might be a better way to describe his name.
im confused bc 哥哥 is already older brother? so is it kinda like a pet name for a respected elder?
Gwendolyn Wells Well it’s important to remember that Chinese names are not like English/western names. My name for example is 惠功 which literally translates to “Brilliant Success”. A chinese name is supposed to reflect the person’s character. So I think that in naming him 老哥 the writer was trying to demonstrate Kyoshi’s relationship to him as something between a teacher (老师 in Chinese) and a big brother (哥哥 in Chinese).

That face is beautifully priceless
Death: Kyoshi time to die.

Earth is order, structure, endurance, and strength. Just as water is flow, unity in diversity, change, and restitution, air is freedom, humour, play, and non confrontational actions, and fire is power, life, passion, and action. So naturally, enforcing a rigid and unchanging order upon one's body would be of earth. Similarly to how old firebenders are very active, but seem to get old a bit faster, old waterbenders are still healthy, but slowed down and cooled with wisdom, and old airbenders seem to become less and less in touch with mundane reality.
Guru Patrik is apparently 150 years old, which makes sense because I think he said him and Giatso were good friends
They need to animate the novels
If anything, I would expect immortality to be a feature of the fire element because fire is described as the element of energy and life.
I love all of your videos!
Wouldn't be surprised if each element has a pinnacle ability that borrows from the legends of the Taoist immortals. Air is freedom, it's ultimate ability is literal flight. Earth is stoic and unmoving, so age does not progress at full understanding. I would guess if Resurrection were a think, I would actually attribute it to fire (based on the Sun Warrior traditions). Water might be Amon's ability to remove bending, but I think it might be being able to turn the body to liquid instead, following a sort of pattern.
Netero thought he was slick hopping verses like that
Effectively what it would come down to, would be bone bending. They're moving the sediment in their bones into place and mending it.
Which is terrifying.
6:25 Avatar and Jedi? Are you trying to face Shaggy?
It almost seems like if the dude is saying he was able to bend the minerals in his body to hold back his body from aging especially if you think about it your skin goes back into the Earth almost like if your skin is the Earth
my conjecture:
Since there is no way you can use earth bending in the traditional sense -- no matter how advanced -- to repair your (organic) body, either by repairing telomeres in your DNA or giving it some sort of minor healing factor, I think this pseudo-immortality is actually more of a spiritual technique. Just as air-benders and their philosophy of "letting go" of earthly things could evolve the ability to project their spirits, earth-benders and their philosophy of "standing firm" on one's ground could evolve the ability of nullifying the aging process.
behind this logic if Bumi's lifestyle and earth bending style gives him a longer life span, and knowing Toph having to naturally have this style of living, I can see Toph living longer, maybe that's why she's in the forest alone since it wasn't clearly stated to why she's there in the first place.
and seeing old Toph fight Kora can give you the impression of her being at her prime
the text at 5:45 basically says to me that earthbenders can bend the chemistry in their bodies to maximize their potential from the inside out. an interesting idea. earthbending was already the most op bending type. and now they have infinite health bars.
You think so? I always considered waterbending to be the most OP.
As much as I love earth bending. I dont think I'd call it OP. Though this would also bring up what way you'd call them op. Would you mean in all around use, or specific areas like combat or building structures and such?
Hope that made some since.
@@alexanderrow7643 im going off from what i saw in the finale. aang put himself in an earthball that withstood fire hotter than the sun.
edit: i guess if lightning would have killed him if he was grounded. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
also when you think about it uncle iroh is now immortal because he was alive when zuko was a old man in tlok. could just just be because he's in the spirit world
1:47 no that's right. Kyoshi didn't ask people things
