What a fantastic experience with the experiment, think it worked really well I different kind of episode for you and Danni and it worked really really well Roll on the next one. I’m finally back on the road myself and getting new content added
Yes great concept. Like the ruggedness of the walks just a shame a.i. couldn't let you know about the closed places. Lord Crewe arms food looked good. thanks for making content in extreme wind 💨😄 I really liked the look of walk on the edge of the woods going up to the monument. Shame about the sycamore loss being caused by a mindless idiot. Thanks for giving a good insight into the area.
Interesting concept of bring AI and nature together. I think nature wins every time and there’s nothing like a little human intervention to form the perfect tour. Great vlog as usual Chris. Also enjoying the Hebrides guide book that I had for Christmas, written by your good self. Time to ask for another for Easter 🐣! 😉👍🏻 Trev
Great to meet you both at Elf Kirk Park up. Really enjoyed the video and such a novel idea. Also watched the Aran vlogs as we would love to go there later in the year. When we get home we will order your book. Cheers and Happy travels. Graeme and Elaine.
Couldn't have dropped at a better time for me. I'm doing the Northumberland 250 over Feb 1/2 term with the kids and Jedburgh Abbey was on our itinerary! Not anymore. Great video too.
What a fantastic idea for things you might not normally do - we went to Blanchland when we were staying at near Derwentwater and enjoyed it all be it I kept calling it Blanchard for some reason!! Would be great if it checked if the recommendations were open of course 😀 Cracking sunset. All the very best, David & Rachel 👍
Northumberland seems to be England's forgotten county, but thete is SO much ro see there. A pity Scotlamd's Border towns, and the Abbeys, seemed mostly shut when you visited. It's not like in my neck of the woods (eg Mount Grace Priory, Whitby Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey, Fountains ... are open all year round. You'd expect some "dangerous masonry" at an old ruin but we visited Keslo in the middle of last summer and its abbey wss closed then because of falling stones. I thought that's what you might expect at ancient ruins. Also a tip for you when you are in an area for 3 or 4 days or more and want to use your toilet properly. I get that you want to find park-ups for most of the time but, from late Match to October (at least) why not look up any Camping Club THS in the area you are camping? You COULD spend one night there when the loo is appraching full (emptying the toilet and refilling the water tank). Teesside DA is normally about £10 a night and you can stop for one night and sort your loo out etc and be away early next morning as you wish. No need to book at the vast majority of THS - just turn up. I guess if you popped up, without staying, and asked if you vould empty the loo and top up your water for a few quid thrown into the kitty, it would be worth your while, too. If not, and you needed to stay a night, you don't have to stay on site (people in campers don't tend to do so), so you could stop at the THS, do your loo amd the water, then go out in the van afterwards. What's £10 compared to the comfort and concenience of using your toilet fully? A couple of stops like that could extend the period you could visit an area.
We usually get well over a week without emptying a toilet. Liquids in a bottle and solids in toilet 😂 we don’t visit campsites ever unless we heading away with the kids for a while.
"Jesus Christ! Speaking of Jesus Christ..." Great segue that! 🤣 Also, I'd be wary of questioning The Oracle's advice. It'll remember, you know, and when the machines take over, you'll be the first one looking down the barrel of Arnie's gun! 😬🙃
I enjoyed the video and what you were trying to do. Super idea. I also like the production of your VLOG which had a different feel to it, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps the music was a bit spaghetti western 🤷♀
I wanted a bit of a more retro feel, a bit more camcorder look to it and switched between our usual vlog camera and a more cinematic look too. Wanted the music to be a little bit more Tarantino kinda feel to it. Got a bit fed up making boring style videos so wanted to make something a little new that I enjoy making. Turns out people must not like it since it done crap on views 😂
@@ChrisSloanes Well I like it and thought it was super. Fairplay to you for trying something different. I would say that the effect you tried, that you succeeded.
Great to see you back with a fab video can I just ask where you empty the toilet as we have ordered a Sven Hedin with a similar layout to yours and we will use park4night instead of a campsite but have no idea what you do, as we haven't had a toilet on board before now, do you have to visit a campsite and pay to empty the cassette?
Not glamorous but we don’t empty it. We don’t use chemicals in it and we use pee bottles for liquids and only solids in the toilet. That way we can survive easy a week without needing to empty. 🙈 maybe not the answer you wanted but that’s what we do haha
I used to know the Sloane family in Wallsend in the fifties, i wonder if youre related ? I detected a few Durham words in your banter, and wondered if you have connections there Chris ? I haven't camped out in Northumberland since a was a bairn. I follow Jimmy Lundy on his YT channel and hope to do one of his camps sometime. I don't think he knaas this castle you visited. I've never hoarde of it Just wanted to say in closing Chris You look a bit like Utred in the 'netflix LAST KINGDOM' series. I would like to record you saying "Honour ! Is everything ! " ⚔️
Very cool - never even thought about using AI for stuff like this! Can you give me the location for that Kielder overnight parkup please - looked on P4N but can't find the right spot. Thx & keep up the great vlogs.
Actually pronounced "Blank land" remember when we used to play dobinoes ? There was double blonk - - and one blonk . _ 😉. There was a bloke at work who got called one blonk because he had a permanent wink because he had one eye. So its called Blonkland and as Michael Cain was wont to say "Not a lorra people know this but ...."
