    Can see where things have improved over the years with Viking and Princess, but also things have been lost, this has a certain charm to it. Love the access door to the crew area. Another nice video, cheers Nic

    Some new carpets and upholstery and you're good to go. Really love those older boats, with different layouts. The quality of the woodwork definitely was a lot better than it is today, in terms of the thickness of the veneers.

    When preparing a used yacht to sell, there are several ways to erase the years of usage though cleaning, sanding, painting or replacing. The one area that can't be faked without a total 'reman' is the Engine Room. When the bilge is NOT stained, but clean as new, that is indicative of the care the boat was given. This vessel had care AND a superior build quality. Compared to similar vessels - this is a BARGAIN. Thanks to all who have cared for this boat over the years and Thank you, Nick for a very nice tour. And Merry Christmas to you BOTH.

    Awesome Princess yacht, so incredibly beautiful, elegant and comfortable for a family to spend time on the seas. It still upholds and sets apart British Princess yachts craftmastership and boat architecture from other yachts, still to this very day. This 'October Princess' has matured well with the times. A most interesting tour, Nick - we loved this one. Ciao from Italy 🇮🇹, and God bless you and your Princess, Amén!!!

    I love these "old" boats, so beautifully crafted. I've always been a fan of the interior stairs to the fly bridge. Love the office, great storage if you aren't using it as office. Not a fan of crew area access, but you use the space you have. Oddly, my first thought was getting laundry down, then realized the conveniently placed emergency hatch. Thanks for another wonderful boat, Nick.

    What is undoubtedly the most stand-out part of this lovely vessel is the fabrics on the beds and curtains. Very original to the time the vessel was built. Psst, Nick: great job as always and thank you!

  • @timepstein274
    @timepstein274 Год назад +2

    Absolutely original - you could tell it has never been updated from the first minute with the CRT TV and VHS video recorder.
    The question is whether to spend about half the purchase price getting it up to date or whether to maintain it as a rare example of un untouched turn of the century motor boat

I like to see the older boats as a comparison to what is being done today,as thinking and technology changes over the years it's very interesting to see how they delt with particular problems then compared to now,the difference with layout and way things are used and so on. The overall view on this boat for me is what a nice big chunk of yacht for the money and that owner should be proud of himself for the standard they have kept the boat incredible again Nick another grand choice and another grand tour thank you ❤️ Aquaholics as ever 👌🖖

    Such a clean boat for the age. I was just getting out of yachting when this was built. I remember being on these when they first came out and the owner bought it because he loved his 52' Viking but wanted to upgrade to this and knew it was built by Princess, but Viking told him that Princess only built the hull. Everything else was Viking. Not sure about that, but inside does look like Viking. Right down to those round beds.
