Corina you are a great salesperson, you got a very non pushy demeanour about ya and a lovely personality which is a nice quality to have when your running a business and in sales 👍. Have been looking for a while to trade my two stroke 15 Yamaha and keep coming back to your demo of the 20 and have just bought one from Melbourne Australia and getting it sent to Hobart Tasmania to go on my 3.7 quintrex. So we’ll done guys and keep up the good work 😎✌️
Watching this now 12/26/20 bought a New 20 hp electric start 5/20 on a 16 ft tracker runs great about 21.7 mph with two people and gear. Thanks for the video
1 big drawback of the 20 ELHPT, the PT is designed not to trim up when the boat is on plane, it will trim down. PT work properly when idling . PT was designed to operate your motor more efficient and to be able to trim up in an emergency situation . The Mercury 20 ELHPT will not do this, good motor other wise.
I just got a 2019 Yamaha f25 to replace my old jonson 25 and was very impressed fuel mileage hole shot everything pretty sure youll like it.i like mercury just as good as the Yamaha hope you like it as much as i like mine
@@TinyBoatNation yes everything i put it on a 1544 lowe jon boat it was a 1974 jonson 25 runs great still but 17 gps me and a buddy now 24 me and him.the only reason i got the Yamaha instead of the mercury was 450 dollars cheaper and its like do i want a red apple or a green apple as far as those to names are concerned to me.i really think your going to be able to play with props to get more speed then the factory prop
I bought a 40 4-stroke merc for my 15' whale super sport 10 years ago. Replaced a 30 year old 40hp 2-stroke Johnson. Rookie mistake! Anyway, thing purrs nicely but the boat sits at a comical angle when no one is in it, as the engine weighs a hundred more pounds at least.
Is 20HP motor really portable? I m considering buying it, but my biggest concern is weight. The issue is that I cannot keep it on the boat. Have to put it on every time I go on the river
did you get one? I carry my 6hp mercury each time to the river and even this isnt super easy. So I assume a 20hp is manageable but it will be more difficult than they advertise in this video
@@johannwilder1437 first time taking it out to break in it died with 2.2 hours on it. Wouldnt restart and had to get towed in from a big reservoir. Mechanic couldnt replicate it and fired up/ran when they had it. Just replaced some plugs I think. Took it out two times no issues then on another big reservoir it started sputtering then died and wouldnt restart. I was able to get to a safe spot and use my electric to make it back to the ramp. They reached out to merc and said they had maybe 5 that have done this and replaced the wiring harness. Took it out 2 weeks ago and it died wide open throttle. Back to the mechanic. Not taking it back unless I get a new motor. They are stumped as well. But 3/5 trips I have used the motor it has died on me. I have no doubt I got a lemon but FFFFFFFFFFF it sucks! Purchased in March this year. The motor is sweet when it runs.
HI Mike, quick question. What's the average cost of a conversion vs cost of new bass boat? i don't really want to spend 18K on entry level bass boat. i can purchase a new 14' Jon and trailer for around 2K just wondering how much to convert. Thanks
Hey mike was wondering if I could get your contact info other than your social media I don’t have social media but I would like to have you as a source for my 1986 bass tracker let me know thanks bro
She's a great salesperson!thanks for taking us along.

ML, great vid! very informative! My 1436 build is coming along...tell me your thoughts on a Jet-drive vs. a prop for a 1436 build?
Get a prop for sure. 20hp on the 1436 here
Fuel injected actually weigh more, at least with tohatsu
My motor weighed 112 lbs per shipping

I have a 16ft.with underpowered 18hp evinrude. .is it difficult to go from tiller to side console if I want to switch to a 40 or 50 hp?
damn, wish my 2020 isnt going into the shop for the 3rd time since buying it this spring....hoping for a replacement asap
Really? What issue is your 2020 having?

I struggle to understand the “more torque” argument for a four stroke
What’s the price on those new 20 efi
$3500 pull start,no power trim
They never stop talking or even pause slightly. Exhausting. Relax folks
