I'm nearly 72 years young. I took care of my husband for nearly six years after he had a falling accident and was unable to walk. I just lost him december 23 from a severe infection. Lost my only sister 3 months prior. I wish I had heard this song earlier. It's gorgeous and so inspiring. God has been with me throughout this time.And I am grateful for His presence in my life. I just wish I could have done more for my husband.
You loved him then and you love him still. Your love is more than enough. I am sure he knew, felt, sensed your love. What better way to live and die? Knowing that one is loved? Blessings to you.

When my father left us and went with another woman. My mother had to struggle to work to take care of us seven children. My mother could not read or write since she grown-up being poor among the poor but she push as all her children to go to school to learn to read and learn to write...she's now 83 years old and suffered a severe stroke in 2006. As the eldest son I had to take care of her since then and never gave up to " Rise up"..in returned to all her hardship, love and dedication. I have to take care of her until her last breath...she is the only mom that I will cherish for the rest of my life and grateful that God gave her to us as our mother! 😔😊❤

Thank YOU SO MUCH FOR SINGING THIS SONG WHEN YOU DID!! My little brother was dying of cancer he found it hard for me to dress him and see his body daily as he was doing home hospice. He tensed up every morning me and my mom cleaned and dressed him. I was sick also with migraines almost daily from being upset he was dying and had 5 kids . I played this song every morning we dressed him. It made all the difference to all three of us . He relaxed and fell in love with the song. His last words were don't forget our song. You didn't have the narration at the start like you do now ,but I felt all of that the day God gave me this song. It was the day the cancer doctor told my brother we can't help you anymore you shouldn't even be here so you must go to hospice today until you pass! My brother said I'm going home and my sister will help me. I didn't have to say anything because he knew there was no other place i'd be. When we got in the car this song was playing and tears rolled down my face because i knew God had me like I had my brother. for that I'm forever grateful!!!!!!!

My husband recently passed away 1 year after being diagnosed with ALS/ Lou Gehrig's Disease. It is a brutal disease. This song gave me strength then and it continues to now that he is gone. But he will never be done because I carry him in my heart every day. Taking care of him will always be my greatest honor. Thank you for this inspirational song! You are an angel walking amongst us, lifting us up.

My daughter and I were in a bad car accident in July 2016. My daughter, who was 8 weeks at the time, suffered no injuries (thank God!) and I broke my neck which left me paralyzed from my neck down. I’m unable to move my hands or legs and have to use a power wheelchair to get around. There are many days when I feel i I don’t want to go on and want to give up. This song definitely helps me get through many of those days and helps me to keep pushing.

Sometimes I think it's just better to share and let your emotions out in those comments, where nobody knows about you, where no pressure is put on you. My life, has been like a game starting from the easy level and keeps getting harder and harder. I am a high school senior, my family just learned that my dad has cancer and he doesn't know. I gotta work, I gotta study( I want to study medicine but everyday this dream seems farther away). I keep telling everyone that it will get better, especially my mom. I try my best to act tough, and just hoping to become day by day tougher, cause I just don't want to feel so broken anymore. I still believe though I will rIse up, cause that's my only option. If any of you are struggling you will get through it, it will be painful, maybe you'll cry every night before you go to sleep, but it's temporary. WE WILL RISE UP! WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTION....
My husbabd and I were driving home Chrismas eve and our 3 daughters were singing this in the back and I couldnt help but cry because it was so inspiring ,he just looked at me like "our girls are going to be just fine in this crazy world"

I feel so much of this song in so many ways. Chronic migraine disease, anxiety, (depression because of anxiety and ptsd), ptsd all bundled up into my brain. My brother suffers from schizophrenia. It has been such a tough battle for my family & I. Some days i feel as though the world is caving in. Some days I am scared he will not be with us anymore. Some days I feel like giving up. But music has helped tremendously & this song particular. I will always stay strong, and be his backbone. And I'd do it a thousand times again. To anyone struggling with anything, your faith your perseverance can move mountains. It doesn't rain forever. You are not alone!

HOLY SH*T! I only heard the original of this before and OH MY GOD! CHILLS! I immediately got sent back to the level of Awe and connection I felt while listening to Amy Winehouse in my early teens.
In 2016 my abusive narcissistic father took his life in front of my mother and younger brother.... together we rose up.... fast forward 7 years to 2023..... my mother has been diagnosed with bone marrow failure.... and together - with our Heavenly Father - we are helping her to rise up.

This song saved me. It kept me going while trying to help/save my son during his horrible reckless bipolar manic episode. I listened to it everyday, a few times a day. It gave me the strength I needed. After 6 months my son finally got the help he needed. Luckily he is alive today. It’s almost 1 yr now and I still listen to this song everyday! Thank you.
Yesterday I relapsed on drugs once again after giving my family hope for the umpteenth time. I’m feeling really lost and hopeless today because I just can’t beat my addiction no matter how hard I try. This song is giving me hope in this moment.
