My daughter and I were in a bad car accident in July 2016. My daughter, who was 8 weeks at the time, suffered no injuries (thank God!) and I broke my neck which left me paralyzed from my neck down. I’m unable to move my hands or legs and have to use a power wheelchair to get around. There are many days when I feel i I don’t want to go on and want to give up. This song definitely helps me get through many of those days and helps me to keep pushing.

Everytime I listen to this song it is giving me hope to continue my life despite of battling from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bipolar and ocd. I'll rise up until I can no longer do that.

Do some shadow work... It helps a lot. Meditate on any trauma-and go to that place and let the current you-be there for the versiom of you that was traumatized. Its deep-its hard-but its so healing. Imagine yourself being there for you when you needed someone the most & had no one-hug your past self-kiss your head-wipe your tears and reassure your child self. Bless your journey. #riseup

I am a kindergarten Teacher nearing the end of 2019-20 school year. The circumstance we are living took time hostage and time stood still, with my daily calendar still reading March. Now in May, students/parents/teachers would have been getting ready for summer. I'm nearly 72 years young. I took care of my husband for nearly six years after he had a falling accident and was unable to walk. I just lost him december 23 from a severe infection. Lost my only sister 3 months prior. I wish I had heard this song earlier. It's gorgeous and so inspiring. God has been with me throughout this time.And I am grateful for His presence in my life. I just wish I could have done more for my husband.

I have, in the last few weeks, found that music is something that I need more than ever. Lately, I've played your song more times than I can count. I found yesterday particularly overwhelming. This song hit a nerve. As I listen, I think of so many. Yesterday, my thoughts kept going towards all those touched by the horrific events in Nova Scotia, Canada over the weekend. My head can't even think of the pain. In a world that is already so challenging. Particularly for anyone grieving. Or putting their lives on the line. I need songs like this one to find that place of hope. I believe that we all need to find people, stories, songs that inspire us to rise above the waves. Last year i got a car accident, with my first car that was just 3 months old and lost my wife to be after a month she was not involved in that accident i had... LOSSING HER was the most down fall of my life, i was so broken in such a way that i was drinking everyday so easy the pain and stress..... My brother whom i was in the car accident can't walk now.... How painful it is may God heal him to walk again
