Yes, however, we recommended a lot of others too in case your WR is not in the slot.

Do you have to be in the zone to get the XF abilities active or do you always have them.

Yes, you have to get the player into "the zone", and then his X-Factor abilities become active. This is accomplished by achieving specific goals, like catching consecutive passes or 20+ yd passes. And they can and will, eventually be knocked out of the zone.
Superstar abilities are always active though.
