At the center of this controversy is the Sabhyata Foundation, a corporate-backed NGO run by the Dalmia Group. Their vision document reveals plans to build various amenities at four adopted monuments, including Humayun's Tomb, Mehrauli Archeological Park and Safdarjung's Tomb, which could compromise their historical significance.
The founder of the Dalmia Group, the late Vishnu Hari Dalmia, was a former president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad - VHP - and an accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case. This raises questions about the true motives behind the Sabhyata Foundation's involvement in the Adopt a Heritage Scheme.

It is immaterial whether the monument is Mughal or Hindu or Buddhist. Historical monuments should not be tampered with. ASI please step in and put a stop to this terrible mistake!
It is a way to erase impact of mughals except earlier in history this was done after a military victory and sacrifices by people and now it is done for short term political gains and long term religious ambitions while betting on the fact the india will never require any assistance from any Muslim nation or they will not care though the impact of this will remain to be seen but this is in no way immaterial.

Beautiful trees green gardens will definitely loose it's charm when this place is commercialized with restaurants etc....Additionally would you like to party at a place where someone is buried?

I understand people get hungry while visiting forts and some small canteen can be opened but you must not change the structure itself for opening a canteen.
People visit such place only because of those historical buildings and want to have a feel of how people used to live and make such structures.
If you will open restaurant inside Tomb and make a lift inside it you are making significant changes in the historical building which is completely wrong.
If there is historical building who will visit Taj Mahal or Tombs. You can make food arrangement some where outside forts and tombs. You should preserve the historical buildings.
Instead of opening a restaurant you should open a museum which has historical books and things related to that place.

There is no proper plan for Maintenance, Restoration, Preservation, Cleanliness, Toilets, Locker Facility, Improper parking, clumsy surroundings, bad roads, open sewerage & much more. People all over the world come to witness such rich Architectural Monuments to experience Indian's History, Art, Culture, Custom & Traditions. Requesting the concerned authorities to WAKE UP & take adequate steps to uplift its surroundings & upgrade facilities to modern standards n keep its structure & architecture to its medieval value.

The improvements proposed are not out of ordinary and are important to valorise the heritage sites in order to earn revenues which can be further utilized for restoration activities of the same or other such complexes. This is routine in many european cities. Thanks

When development projects are combined with sheer greed and hatred and a terrible inferiority complex, then aesthetics and ethics disappear. Indian in the past 10 years under Modi is getting engulfed in sheer unaesthetic infrastructure development. A society that lacks investments in cultural economy is bound to be an unhealthy society.
