Curaçao kayaking Santa Cruz, Blue Room and Piscadera Bay
Kayaking is a nice way to relax and see nature. On my tours with Ryan de Jongh I got to see Santa Cruz, Blue Room, Piscadera Bay and much more. Not only was it fun, but I also got to learn more about mangroves and their importance to Curaçao's eco system.
*Question: Where in the world has been your favorite kayak spot?

My husband and I honeymooned in Curacao in 1998 and love it so much that we have been back many times since. We will be there again in January! We have kayaked many places, but I think my favorite was Grand Bahama's national park out to Peterson Cay to snorkel. We have never kayaked in Curacao, so we look forward to trying it our next visit.
Only kayaked once , on the Ottawa river. Looks like a great time
I have only kayaked next to the coast of Boca St. Michael, but would very much like to kayak at Piscadera some time. Love your videos, so fresh and simple!
Hello Liyahbeat, glad that you'll be visiting the island. Blue Room is about 45min away from Piscadera Bay. You will be able to get there by taxi. If you feel like being adventurous, you can also use the Public Transportation. For more about that just visit Curacao Vacation Blog.
Just last year my wife and I went kayaking around a mangrove island off the coast of Maya Beach in Belize named False Caye - fantastic! We literally had that entire mangrove area to ourselves. Would love to win this contest and go kayaking when we visit next April - thanks!
I'm sure that would be a great experience for you. Especially being able to compare the differences between Curacao and Belize.
I was surprised to see it too. Its pretty cool.
I've only been kayaking a couple of times on the island. But my favorite spot HAS to be Spanish Water Bay! I kayaked all the way to the Hyatt Hotel with my friends, and then we went for a swim at Barbara Beach, it was awesome! :D I really want to win! The St Cruz kayak trip looks like so much fun! Pleeeaaase pick me, haha! x
Hi Sheedia, great videos you got here!
I've never kayaked before and I just told Ryan 2 days ago after a great, challenging, wonderfull weekend around three heroes going around Curaçao, that i would love to learn the techniques of kayaking and that i would love to go on a trip with him somewhere on Curaçao.
I was one of their physical therapist last weekend! I love to be in motion!!
I'm ready for the challenge!!!
Hello Bryan, thanks for the compliment. Congratulations on taking care of 3 heroes. Job well done. Hope you win so you can get a tiny tiney feel of what they went through.
I want the whole world to see the beauty of Curacao! You do a wonderful job showcasing our beloved Island! Could you add a link to Facebook? I'll be the first to connect you on my posts :-). Danki pa tene mi kurason kontentu aunke ku mi ta leu for di mi isla stima!
Lovely didn't know Curacao had a mangrove jungle!!
Actually I've never went Kayaking before. I tried once in Venezuela in the city of El Manteco, its a small city of Venezuela outside the outside Suidat Bolivar. But due to the weather it wasn't possible. I would like to win this, not only to do Kayaking for the first with my husband would be awsome, but also getting to know more about my own island would be great. Being a tourist in you own country is great.
You are right. This is probably the perfect giveaway for you. Especially if you want to do it with your husband. The quietness in combination with birds chirping is so romantic.
I'll never been kayaking so I can't tell you what's my favorite place. Now I'm living on Curacao, so time to discover it!!!! I'll love your blogs and video's, they learn me more about our "dushi korsou"!!! Keep on doing the good job :-)
Thank you Sandra. Good luck on winning the trip :)
***** Thank you Sheedia, I'll keep my fingers crossed :-)
Thank you so much Sheedia! I will be contacting you via your Curacao blog! :)

Oh My!....I just booked my winter vacation to Curacao! I'll be going in December! Staying in Piscadera Bay. How far is the Blue Room from that area? I would loveee to visit there! Thanks!
Oh yeah, I forgot that there is a Santa Cruz in California too. I bet the Curacao Santa Cruz is a lot smaller though.
My newest video took me kayaking. Check out my experience.
Another great video! ***** Keep them coming.
Will do Doug Thompson
*Well done *********!*
When I'm in Curacao, I'll ask you to be my travel guide.
You know all the great/fun places! ;)
Sheedia,
How far is the Blue Room from Santa Cruz beach? We have a home in Curacao and I dive there a lot, (but have not been to the blue room/mushroom forest yet).
3 more weeks and I'm back!
Hi John, the Blue Room is about 15 minutes away by kayak and a 30 minute hike. I never really timed it, but that's how it felt like when I did it. You can catch a boat from Sta. Cruz to Blue Room as well, but I've never done that.
Sheedia I have another question. Do you know if there is a place NEAR Santa Cruz where I can rent a kayak or paddleboard? I'm feeling adventurous & I want to try to find the blue room on my own! :)
There's a Kayak rental place at Santa Cruz. I have never rented anything there, but you can check it out. It is at the left side of the beach (when facing the beach) where there's a little restaurant. You can't miss it.
I WAS THINKING SANTA CRUZ CALIFORNIA LOL
