Thanks for the vid. I've been anxious to dive a little deeper as a DJ/ VJ‐ I saw DJ Angelo using it with DJPRO. I've been using Algoriddim for about 6 years now. They developed their software initially to Dj with Ipads, and are definitely tied into the Apple ecosystem, also recently made it possible to Dj with apple music which is an absolute game changer. I could go on and on about that, but I think our workflow will be immensely improved, and the shared A/V experience is gonna be INCR.
I’ve been using djay since the iDJPro (wish it still worked); I’ve been happy with the steady evolution but wish they’d hurry up and support the RaneFOUR. I’m realizing I use it more than Serato lately.
I like the concept but I’m not happy with some of the current execution. Not being able to analyze tracks in djay is an issue; the workaround is reorganizing my playlists on Mac before going into the AVP. But the bigger issue is the AVP DJing experience is internal/isolated. If djay integrated with twitch or Mixcloud to allow a livestream of what the AVP is doing, THAT would be a massive improvement. I’m also waiting for DJI to add support for its apps so I can fly my drones through the AVP. And then I want insta360 integration so I can experience my 360 videos. I want a lot…

Everyone is trying to get virtual decks. I disagree, the tech would best be suited to work in conjunction with a physical controller. Your play list floats before you, you never take your eyes off the audience. You can swipe a track into one deck and physically mix it! Your bpm, energy , dance ability all sit in front of you as you dj but still engaged with your audience. This should replace the laptop!
