Producing Roller-Compacted Concrete from a Ready Mix Plant

The use of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) has extended beyond heavy-duty pavements. It is now being used for streets, county roads, department of transportation (DOT) highway shoulders, and parking lots. Improvements in mixture design and construction techniques have resulted in a smoother, tighter surface. Ready mixed concrete producers are teaming with asphalt paving contractors to provide another pavement option for streets, local roads, and parking facilities.
