Kids deserve to be raised with love , discipline, boundaries , being taught ( as in deserves the access to learning materials at a young age and if you are not letting your child learn you are stunting their development and not giving them a fair chance in life and teach them morals and such. =) Also people shouldn't have kids to try to " improve" their relationship . I think there are negatives such as abusive families continue to stick together because Asians tend to have an interdependent view compared to independent views. But of course this is subject to living environment e.g. being in an Asian community not so much to do with race or ethnicity. It's not that. At least not just that. Asians are immigrants. Most millennial Asians are second generation from an immigrant family. Immigrants hold onto their culture, and are very protective of their values. To the people who immigrated education and hard work are super important. So they worked hard enough that their kids are now "privileged". Plus Asian (Indian/Chinese/Korean/etc) communities are tight knit, there's always a public image that people show in those communities. It can be stressful but the benefit is that you don't want to be gossiped about so you stay on the straight and narrow. Plus, even if you're blue collar lower class in the west, you know you're probably doing better than people from your home country. The st least it's not as bad as that mindset must definitely effect crime rate among Asians. Plus, Asians though do have areas where they are concentrated but it's not like the underfunded and overpoliced urban setting where black people are concentrated. Like Eddisson, New Jersey, USA or parts of Coventry or Birmingham in the UK. These places are basically Indian, but it's the suburbs. Very little crime in general. This is not the same for black people, we know that they have been kept down overtly or covertly despite the abolishing of slavery. And when you're poor, a lot bad stuff happens and you end up doing some stupid and some bad things. Not to mention, as an Indian, living in India, our community (the kind that ends up immigrating) does not mess with guns or the police. Of course, there's crime and illiteracy in every Asian country, so our values don't make us immune to criminal behaviour or a bad education. Though, yes, the family, I don't mean necessarily the traditional family but the concept and ties of family is very important, because in Asia people live in multigenerational homes, with a clear hierarchy of elders and youngsters. Heck, our neighbours are family, people's kids stay over at their neighbour's place after-school and it's never called babysitting and there's no compensation for it. That's how I grew up. Now I go help out with their kids for an hour or two everyday.
The Asian guy is not wrong, a cohesive family units that promotes good behavior and doing well in school usually ends up with a hard working successfull adults

If you want an actual response for this, the reason Asians on average are more successful is because of background and circumstance. Most black and mexican families either crossed a border or were forced to live in America, thanks to the slave trade, so there is less economic stability and these minorities are more likely to come from poor areas and households and have less opportunities. Asians, on the other hand, have to fly over to come to America, meaning they usually are set up in their own countries with businesses and have the goal to grow their wealth, often starting off in richer neighbourhoods with better schooling. America essentially gets a richer pool of Asians, while the less successful stay in their home countries working in sweat shops.
@@almassj8603 So what you are basically saying is that most, if not all white Europeans who arrived in America, either by plane or in comfortable well maintained ships, were wealthy and/or had businesses and good education to finance their future in their new country of residence. Also that the poor blacks who were forced to go to America have it real bad compared to their brethren who are doing fantastically well back in their continent of origin, and would return if they could afford the plane ticket.
@@almassj8603 I could also interpret it to mean that if Africans had discovered America, they would, with the help of a few white slaves, who still live in white ghettos and show no interest in education and the rule of law, have transformed the country into a booming economy and a world power, whilst at the same time writing a constitution and building courts of justice etc, in the timeframe of just a few generations.

@@ant713m it’s a balance. This is going to be a few anecdotes, so not quantitative, but I think it can help you see where I’m going with this. I have 3 close friends who are Asian. Of the 3, two have a bad relationship with their parents. The main difference (atleast that I see from an observing perspective) is the difference between striving for success and requiring it. The two households with bad relationships had essentially a pass/fail system, rather then focusing on improvement, whereas the third has a very loving family which treated bad grades as learning experiences rather then a blow to the person’s character. It’s also worth noting that of the 3, one of the ones in a bad relationship with their parents has very bad grades, and the other had quite good grades UNTIL college. The third has not gotten a C yet in college, and they are in their fourth semester. Yea. My mom and dad were pretty strict when comes to career and traditional family values. I respect my parents and pay them monthly allowances. No girls until I graduate high school. Now I got a job, gf, a business, a house and a PhD

So ultimately, setting expectations to be at immediate perfection under a watchful eye doesn’t cause the person to work hard for themself, but rather serve a prison sentence essentially. Then again, this is a small sample size, but it is something I noticed regardless.

They never interview those sorts of ppl. Always randoms far removed from talking about this all the time. Sure they have an opinion but it's always much easier to just fall in line and believe the preconceived notions that society indoctrinated us into without our realizing. In America, you born right wing, you have to go out of your way to learn what leftism even is, and that takes time, dedication, and education. Most of your leftist influencers have degrees in political science.
