The quilts and stitchery you showed were beautiful! I, too, love the Civil War repro fabrics and that cozy looking primitive look. I love how you speak about your parents so lovingly. I miss mine everyday. I can't seem to get motivated to loose weight, but you had words of wisdom about it. God's love and blessings to you. This is Oct. 2022 I'm watching this, and I do hope your cabin has remained safe and whole.
I love seeing your older completed projects-more please. May God always keep you safe and well for US. US IS THE FLOSSTUBE AND QUILT COMMUNITY WHO CARE ABOUY YOU
Enjoy watching you and your handwork you've done. Your's is one of my new favorite floss tubes. You have enabled me to join the "Little Wren Handworks Club" . Enjoy watching what each floss tuber brings to the table. This is a huge family and everyone is kind to all as it should be.
I’m so glad you found me and I’m smiling that I’m a new favorite! I can’t believe the beautiful connection through this avenue of videos and comments that allows us to see what we are, stitching and thinking no matter where we live. I’m glad you are in the Little Wren Club also! Such cheerful patterns.
Dear Bonnie - It is such a joy to watch your videos. Thank you for speaking of your love of Jesus and how you remain in the fold of His garment. Until next time, have a blessed day!😁
I love the thought of staying in the fold of His garment!! I often think of resting with Him in the lovely green pasture beside a little creek. Just being there and not even talking. Just knowing He is watching over me and I don't have to have the answers!!
Thank you for sharing your talent and your personal journey. It is wonderful to visit with another Believer as well as crafter. I cross stitched 30 years ago. Due to a surgery, I could not sew, and took up cross stitch once more. My sewing includes quilting, crafts, and make clothing. It's nice to have a new friend!
I'm glad to be your friend, as well! I am so amazed at how these videos and comments bond us together and create such a beautiful community and friendships!
Hi, Bonnie, Enjoyed your video, so many pretty projects. Thank you for the shout out in your program notes. Hope you have a great week. Happy Stitching!
You're welcome...I wish I had seen my notes so I could mention your name...I knew it was a little bit of a tongue twister, so I didn't want to botch it up until I could see it to type it. Hope you got some new viewers to visit you.
I agree with Ozark Mtn Stitcher. We all have our flaws and habits, but that is what makes us unique. You make beautiful videos, create beautiful projects, and most of all have a beautiful testimony. I think I may search out that little book that you read from at the end of the video and get one for every member of my family for Christmas. I come from a long line of worriers and I also married one. I know we are not supposed to worry and be anxious because we are supposed to trust in Him, but He also knows we are human and will be weak at times. I also liked the comment your viewer made about the family member who had larger arms. It made me think of my maternal grandmother, and I too would love to be in one of her loving hugs. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and your testimony. God is working through you and your Flosstube and quilting videos.
Beth Gibson what wonderful encouragement! Thank you so much! I think you would also like the Hope For Each Day by Billy Graham devotional. I got them both this year and find them terrific.
Thank you for sharing your love for our Saviour. 💖 Love all you projects. You have fantastic stitching. You have a great week. Thank you again for your encouraging words. 💖
Oh thank you! I have it laid out on my couch now that I did the Quilting 5 video and am going to start working on it as soon as I get my RickRack quilt done. Should be this weekend!!
Enjoyed watching your video and love 💕 your wall. I love your new start. Love your quilt. Thank you for being yourself and being open. Have a great evening and happy stitching 🧵😊❤️🤗
Your sewing room is a beautiful haven, and your projects are eye candy to look at! Thank you for sharing you me talent, and your heart, with all of us! 💜Lori
Thanks for sharing another great video! Don’t concern yourself with your arms, we’ll all get them if we’re lucky enough to live long enough! Embrace them literally and figuratively!!! See you next week on the quilt side! Love your work and style.
I’ve just discovered your channel and I’m watching all videos and enjoying them. You’re so nice and your projects are so beautiful, thank you for the inspiration 💙
Enjoyed all of you projects and loved the video. My whole house is my craft space and I am organized so it doesn’t look too messy ...all the time. Life is challenging our hobbies keep us sane. Thanks for sharing your faith.
I'm so glad you're enjoying time spent with me in my Sewing Room and getting uplifted with sharing the devotion at the end. I just want to be able to bring joy to this hurting world!!!
Enjoyed your video. I was Ohhhhing and ahhhhimg when you showed your beautiful embroidery. Your work is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the encouraging words at the end of your video.
Theresa Laboda I’m so glad you’ve been blessed with hearing the devotion at the end. Thank you for watching and being part of this sweet stitching family!
Hi Bonnie. Just had to say thank you for sharing your projects and words of encouragement. Forward was my “word” in 2019 I haven’t been a woman of faith however I’ve had a growing interest to be for more than a year now. I too have recently started stitching again after 20 yrs..Now I’ve found you!! Btw: I’ve just ordered a copy of Hope on eBay 😊
Laurie, I’m so glad you found your way into my sewing room to join me. How awesome that you’ve had a growing interest in being a woman of faith recently. Just keep asking God to show you if He’s real and what He has for you. I just did a video this afternoon about the beautiful way He answered my question through His Word, the Bible and it was just perfect for me. Do you have a Bible? I’d be happy to send one to you if you would like. Hope you keep joining me for my sewing room chats. Thanks for sharing!
The best part is your scriptures and the way you're handling the bumps in the road. You're being so growthful it's a joy to my heart. You're in my prayers as you navigate your life.💕 And then there are the QUILTS! I have to find your quilt vlogs!! Your quilts are skillfully designed and wonderfully made. They are soo my "cuppa tea," my English friends used to say when I was on a mission trip there. Bonnie, me darlinkkk, what sewing machine would you most recommend for an older lady who's new at quilting? And is there (a list of) tools a newby quilter should have as their basics? I have been away from sewing ANYTHING for so long, I am a beginner again! Thank you for suggestions but please don't sprain anything trying to help me! I just feel like if I use the same machine and notions you do, maybe magic will come out of my sewing room like it does out of yours! Hugs💖💖🥕🥕🥕🥕(because a carrot a day.....)
I have read your comment several times and I giggle each time!! I just love it!!! Hmm, that's a good idea to give some suggestions for newer quilters. ONe thing is Craftsy. It's a paid video class/pattern platform and there are so many beginner sewing videos. I'm going to be doing a quilt video probably Sunday, so I'll give it some thought and even show my Mom's Janome Sewing Machine and the inexpensive Brother machine I got from Costco for $100 last year. It makes me smile to think you want to crank out sweet projects just like mine!!!!
Thanks for a fun video and also for sharing that book at the end. I have some new friends who I think might like it - as well as myself. I found it on amazon and shared the link with them. ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, I'm so glad that I watched all the way to the end. God Bless you. Love the word "forward", and to keep moving forward. Even if they are just small steps. I am very goal oriented also, and love to cross off those lists of goals I make for myself. I love the quilt that you showed towards the end, and the fact that you incorporated items from other patterns into your quilt. How fun. Well, have a wonderful week, and take care, and choose joy (I will too)!
D Obleman Ahh glad we have so much in common! Yes, it sure is a choice to keep moving forward. This year has posed so many extra challenges and I just don’t want to waste this precious time God has given me. I’m glad you like my quilt...I named it Crazy Log Cabin and you’ll hear the story next week...maybe I’ll even get some more appliqué lives prepped for it so I can get it completed this year.
Lee Defries I did some organizing a few months ago and went through all my needle felting stash and I think it’s time to get a project going and then I can share it on my next Flosstube video. Hope you start one as well! I’d love to hear about it.
Hi Bonnie!AMEN! I have not listened to your previous video yet where you share more about your faith in Christ! I was delighted to hear you share in this video about what God is teaching you! Thank you for sharing! As well, I must say I LOVE your style -- prim is mine too! Also, it is inspiring to hear about your health journey.
Thank you! I’m so glad you share in our love of Christ and stitching. The Flosstube #4 is one I spoke from the heart about a dark time in my life and how my faith and God’s grace made all the difference in my life.
I love the background! And yes as if sitting chatting and stitching is best.💜 and oh love the bracelet, that’s type of jewelry that I love! Okay back to watching! If I don’t type as I think of it, I forget! Lol. Oh that orange pumpkin! Sweet!
Oh my, we have so much in common, I too have been on a health journey and gave up sugar and my Pepsi addiction, ha, 4 years ago. Eating healthy, essentially oils and natural cleaning products etc...
I drink black decaf coffee and it really isn't that bad. Was a medical reason why I had to change, and it was tough at first. As a result, I have become more of a tea drinker and am a tea snob. I enjoy many flavors from The Republic of Tea. Your autumn projects are very nice and I have intentions of attempting an embroidery project. I have the fabric and hoops to do so, yet have not done it yet. Took a short free class at a small quilt show last year.
It was an adjustment to go without the cream in the morning, and now I'm pretty much ok without the cream in the afternoon. It was hard after a lifetime of enjoying my coffee that way, but age changes things! I hope you do get out that embroidery project and give it a go!
Love your videos!!! Your wall behind you is beautiful!! I am working on Crabapple Hill’s Over The Meadow quilt and embroidery pattern. Love all your embroidery!! I seek joy and happiness every day. There is always something to be thankful for. God is always near. God bless you!!!!!
Sara Brunsvold I bet that quilt is fun to work on. I find I can do my embroidery when I’m sitting outside, it I have to have my Stitching setup to do the cross stitch with my linen. It’s nice having several different projects, so you can always have something that you can pick up and work on. I’m glad you choose joy and are a Sister in Christ!
You make my day when you up load a new video. So glad that it was longer than you intended. Don't worry about your arms. My arms are huge but I did wear sleeveless tops this summer. I am trying for improvement not perfection . You fell like someone I would love to have as a neighbor. Stay strong and stay safe. God bless.
Kelly Drover Oh I wish we WERE neighbors and we could show each other our stitching projects, patterns and collections but this is the next best thing ...neighbors in this little virtual stitching community. I bet your arms have held and uplifted lots of family and friends! You made my day with your sweet words!
Hi Bonnie! Good to see you again! You and I have stitched sooooo many of the same things in the past, it’s amazing! I have stitched almost all of the Country Stitches By My Hands patterns. I have all four seasons of the one you showed with the pumpkins and crows. I have a frame my husband made for me and every three months I change to the next season. I also did most of the Crabapple Hill and Bare Roots patterns, as well as Buttermilk Basin. I also love to do wool appliqué and make things using wool felt. I have been a fan of Brenda Gervais since she started in 1987. I think I have made all of her doll patterns, all of her embroidery patterns, a lot of her punch needle patterns and now, of course, her cross stitch patterns. I designed doll patterns and sold the patterns online for awhile. I also designed miniature teddy bears out of mohair and sold the bears and patterns at Bear and Toy Shows and the patterns online. Now I mainly do cross stitch and quilting. I make a lot of project bags and journal covers and small quilted projects. We just have a lot in common!! I love to create and can’t stand to be sitting and not doing anything with my hands. Have a great week of stitching and creating and God Bless you Lots!!! 🍂🦔🍁🦉🍂🐿🍁🐌🤎🧡💛🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Cathy Lounsbury Oh wow! Yes, we do have so much in common! Where were you when you were doing the bear making? My Mom did hers in the 90s and ended up being in bear making magazines and selling at Disneyland and DisneyWorld bear artist shows. She had so much fun in her Bear Making Guilds. As I look through my embroidery patterns I do see so many that are By My Hand. I’ve got several that are still not quite finished so I’m wanting to get them FFOed and ready for this Christmas. So glad you found me and have so much that we share in our lives and stitching!
I have seen quite a few different companies that carry the little bags. I've seen them at HObby Lobby and JoAnne's this week. I bet Fat Quarter Shop even carries something like that.
Just found you, & I will be back... I checked out Christmas at Buttermilk Basin from my local library if anyone is interested. It has 19 projects. Hope to see a tour of your sewing room, loved what I did see in the video. I'm looking forward to your quilting ones although I'm so new to quilting that I don't even have a stash yet! Thanks so much.
I forgot that libraries would have pattern books. What a great resource! Oh, you’ll love gathering your stash! I’m seeing the value of precuts now. Since I’m such a scrappy quilter, having those precuts (specially the layer cakes and jelly rolls) gives me a variety of fabrics without spending so much $$$
Hi Bonnie! Boy was this a timely floss tube for me. First of all, don't worry about your arms. My arms are much flabbier than yours but, at the age of 63, I am refusing to hide them. If I am hot, I wear clothes for comfort and if people do not like it, they do not have to look at it. Your video has been very thought provoking for me today and I also am choosing Joy! I have been in a relationship with my husband for 24 years, 12 of which we have been married; however, over the last 4+ years (more than that has been brought to my attention) my husband has been an alcoholic. I have tried everything I can think of to try to help him including AA and counseling, medication, and pastoral care but he refuses to give up the alcohol, has even resorted to stealing from family and friends to get his fix as well as nursing home residents where he used to work. I have multiple medical issues including diabetes, fibromyalgia, and psoriatic arthritis which are all made worse by stress. I am finally taking the steps I need for my health and have filed for divorce. My mom and I have decided to make a new start completely and move from Michigan to Texas so that we can be closer to my only daughter and son-in-law and future grandson (who is due for arrival in January 2021). Without going into too many more details, I feel that this will relieve a lot of my stress from my marriage although it is a difficult decision because I do still love him but he has lied so much that I cannot trust him or believe anything he says. Your bracelet is beautiful and I love hearing all the stories behind your patterns and WIPs. May the Lord continue to bless and guide you. Take care and thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with us.
Dawn Duval Oh sweet friend, I can imagine how much pain you have struggled with over these years of heartache. I think you’re making a good choice. He may choose to seek recovery and there may be restoration, but he has a choice to make and lots of work if he chooses recovery. Have you read Boundaries in Marriage or Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend? The marriage book ended up being the ‘tools’ that my husband and I used to help in our marriage restoration (the Bible first, though!). I had several mentors that helped me as I hit bottom and started working on myself along the way. God bless you, Dawn! I’m glad you’re in my stitching family and hope to continue he to hear from you.
@@logcabinstitcher7274 Thank you for your sweet words of wisdom and strength. I have not heard of those books but will be looking into them. I do plan to continue to comment on your videos as you are really resonating with me. I am going to try to nail my mom down to sit down and watch one of your quilting videos as I think she would really enjoy it but probably won't be able to until after we get moved as we are sorting through a lot of stuff and getting rid of it one way or another so a lot of work to do in about a month hopefully. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with your stitching family. Take care and may the Lord continue to strengthen you.
Back in the 80s and 90s I was woodworker and crafter and sold at all types of vender fairs and boutiques. The angel was made by one of the ladies I used to know back then. Her dress I made from a handkerchief and her wings are from an old quilt. This weekend I’ll be doing a show and share of all the items in and on that old bread box. I bet you’ll enjoy that!
Anyone not experiencing anxiety this year isn't in the real world. Here in Wales UK we are revisiting further surges in problems with CV2020. I cope by keeping on with my craft therapy. It's a global pandemic we can only try our best to keep focused on what we all need to do to get through. Your videos are helping me greatly. Keep well and I so love your beautiful projects. Jen x
Jenifer Jones I’m thrilled to know I can be part of this uplifting community all over the world to other stitchers and friends who want to find joy in stitching and encourage each other. I’m so glad my stories and projects are helping you!
Hi Bonnie , I love all of your videos. I also enjoy quilting and cross stitch,I’ve made several project bags . I would like to know if you’d be willing to share the measurements for your little bag that holds your scissors? I would greatly appreciate it . Blessings from Texas❤️🙏🏻
Norma Lopez Thank you! I’m so glad I can share my love of stitching, encouragement and love for Jesus with so many wonderful people! My little floss bag is 6 inches wide by 5 inches tall. I cut the strip for the top 6 inches by 1/1/2 and then filed it in half and the strip you slip the vinyl in was 6 inches by 3 inches and then it ends up being 3/4 inch by the end of the folding process.
Thanks for the words of encouragement about God’s peace. I will have to get up to your LNS sometime to look at the fabrics. I’m only about 45 minutes away. Love your embroidery. I have done a bit. Pillowcases and runners. I am stitching Words to Live by:Hope by Heartstring Samplery. It is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
Carol Hebert Oh, I’m glad you’re so close and can pop in to the shop. I think 3 is their earlier closing hours. I hope you find some fun linens and treasures. It was so fun to hear the other day when I went in that several people came in because they watched my video and learned about the shop. I just looked up the verses in your sampler. So uplifting and perfect for this year!
Hi Bonnie, I have been enjoying your flosstube & quilting videos. I am very interested in the box you mentioned & I looked through & watched a couple of Laurie's (Mischievous Stitches) videos, but could not locate the one you referred to. If you happen to know which one it is, I'd like to go watch it. Thanks so much!
Lyn inRaleigh It was her Flosstube Tutorial #6 Needlebox from a year ago. The box is the Playing Card box from Hobby Lobby. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the time you share with me in my Sewing Room and share the love of stitching!
In the cross stitching groups I belong to on Facebook, there are quite a number of men stitchers. They’re doing beautiful work, so don’t count them out! 🙂
My goodness, I’m finding out now the connection guys have with needle and thread and watching these videos as well. It’s funny, when I first started these videos I thought it would just be my little group of stitching friends and personal friends that would actually watch them. I am still totally amazed at all the people who are watching and connecting. It makes me smile to think of all those people I don’t personally know that are finding something positive and worthwhile in my videos. Who knew I’d be talking to more than my little circle of friends!!
I'm going to do a simple demo in two weeks or so when I do my Quilting #7 video on my method of applique and big stitch. Hope you will join me when I do that one!
Sure I will join you with CC on because I’m deaf. Do you go shopping in Redlands for stitch things? I always go there at Joann and Hobby Lobby are my favorite stores. ❤️
You’re work is very nice. I love to hear about embroidery, cross stitch, and quilting, and I love beautiful work, which you seem to do. I enjoy hearing about anything pertaining to stitching, which I enjoyed seeing all your felt, and wool felting. Thank you. I don’t care about what kind of coffee you drink, your oils, what you sell and your lactose troubles. I don’t care about that. So it would be nice TO ME to only hear about your stitching world. Thank you. I will subscribe if after your next video, I like it better and will listen to stitching related videos.
Carla Burgoon I was thinking about a new needle but it’s funny I tapped the tip with my finger to test it and thought, Oh it’s still sharp. But that could be the problem. I did retread, so I’ll give a new needle a chance to run across the fabric!
Linda Stitches Good question, and I see you got an answer. I think it’ll be good idea to show some in my next Flosstube video. Thanks for asking about it!
Lovely Bonnie, you could give your project bags away as a floss tube give away on your channel or sell them for funds toward a charity ... just a thought 💕
Yes!! In my FlossTube #6 I have a few as a celebration sharing for my viewers....check it out and see how you can get a chance!!!! That ends November 6
First let me say that you shouldn’t worry about how your arms look or any strange noises you’re making. I think I can speak for this community as a whole, or at least I hope I can, when I say we aren’t judging you on any of that. We’re here for the stitching! You do beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.
Ozark Mtn Stitcher Oh Thank you for that great encouragement! Specially since I’m new into this Flosstube video realm. I’ve felt so much love and acceptance, it makes my heart happy!
If you like the color of oxidized copper you should see the hand dyed silk floss by Missus Sedas missussedas.com/products/oxide. I love her floss and got a hank of this to do a monochrome Quaker. She is in Spain but so worth the wait

Your faith is uplifting - thank you for sharing that with us.

I have as many hobbies as you ! So glad I found your video. Like you , I used to cross stitch in the 80’s and just got back to it.
Thank you for your testimony! and the Bible verses!

Thank you!!! So glad you found me, too!! Yes...glad you're going to work on the bracelet, too!! Never enough hobbies to stitch, right??
Hi Bonnie,
Another great video, love your hand applique!
Blessings
Thank you so much!
Your wool appliqués mat is beautiful. I look forward to your videos, both stitching and quilt.

Hi Bonnie, thank you for another great video! I feel like I've been to a mini Bible study when I watch your floss/quilt tubes!😊 love it!💖

I just know you'll get uplifted by the devotional as well. Thank you so much for watching and being part of my sweet stitching family!
I love your videos. I also have a bunch of different things in my stash Have all the supplies to do the needle felting but haven't started that yet
Sweet!
So fun!! Comments as you're watching and enjoying!!!!
Gracias por tus vídeos. Me encantan tus trabajos. Saludos desde España.
I’m so glad you found my Chanel and are loving my projects! A big hello back to you from the States!
Oh my, we have so much in common, I too have been on a health journey and gave up sugar and my Pepsi addiction, ha, 4 years ago. Eating healthy, essentially oils and natural cleaning products etc...
So glad you’re in my stitching family and sharing so many things in common with me!
Hi!!!!!:). I say the same thing,,,,,I need to do all this before I'm gone hahaha. I enjoy your videos
Bonnie, how sweet of you to mention me!☺️. Another lovely video. Glad to hear you are building your fabric stash! Blessings, my friend 🙏🤗
The Contented Stitcher Oh how fun! Thank you for watching ME!
I love the beadshop. I make jewelry too.
I love your floss bags. I find it hard to do the rings also.
Where did you get that adorable angel in the box on the wall behind you?
You have so much neat stuff. I love watching your videos.
Amazing…that’s you!
Log Cabin Stitcher thanks so much!
I wanted to learning how to appliqués 😊
Sometimes if my machine skips stitches all it needs is to be totally re-threaded and a new, fresh needle put in.
Carla Burgoon I was thinking about a new needle but it’s funny I tapped the tip with my finger to test it and thought, Oh it’s still sharp. But that could be the problem. I did retread, so I’ll give a new needle a chance to run across the fabric!
Carla Burgoon welcome
AWHA DONT YOU LOOK REFRESHED AND PRETTY TODAY !!!!!
Oh yeah!! I was fried on my FlossTube video. It's already the end of the month again....how did the time go so fast? Thank you!!
First time I’ve watched you!
Your projects and your enthusiasm are very inspiring.
I have a question:
What is wool roving, please? Thank you!
marie landry Thank you!
