Oh, how I miss the island. My husband and I call it our playground. We had so much fun there. We went there twice every summer. Now, we are living a new adventure in Phoenix, AZ. God created such a beautiful earth 🙏
I have traveled all over the country, including Mackinac Island. This gem is easily one of, if not the most beautiful place in the country. If Mackinac Island is not on your bucket list, it should be.
Such a great pleasure to visit this classic retreat via splendid photography....it captures the sense of relaxation throughout...the family's luxurious suite not to be believed....truly this beautiful family is enjoying the good life....the director of this film was quite self effacing as there appeared to be no footage of him...too busy tending to his family and his art.......

Nice video, I was there the week prior for the 4th celebration that they do every year, we probably passed each other as we checked out when you checked in. The weather then was unusually warm for the Island, perfect like your video showed. The Grand is simply fabulous, staff the best and the food is top notch. Look forward to going again soon.

I would love to take one of the days I was there and go around dressed as a lady from the turn of the 20th century; dining at the Grand Hotel, wandering across the lawn with my parasol, maybe even (gasp) riding a bicycle, lol.
I miss going there. I remember My mom and I Walking the whole Island which Is 7.8 miles Long. And let's just say We got back at the Hotel at around 2am. Yes 2am. Never again. I don't know about My mom but I know that If I do walk it again it'll be When the sun is rising.
I have been there three times and still haven't seen half of it. No homeless panhandlers and no attitudes from the locals. Police have always been courteous and helpful. It is always the first place that I tell people (in Ohio)to go.
What a beautiful reminder that summer is on its way. It is April 18th and snowing right now. Your video gives me hope that we will see nice weather again. My husband and I stay at the Grand Hotel four times a year. It is like home to us. Do you recall the name of the suite you were in? What an awesome room!
Beautiful videos. I have a question/favor to ask. My niece has worked on the island for four years. This will be her last summer. She loves it there! Is there any way I could download any of these videos to burn to a CD for her birthday at the end of July? She would be absolutely thrilled to have this type of keepsake of her time spent on the island. Brenda Lantini I suggest you try software such as Wondershare AllMyTube (there are lots of others) for downloading a video you like. Once you have the file on your computer you can burn a copy onto a CD (or make a DVD) for your niece.

It seems like when ever I visit the weather is less than ideal but it is still a beautiful sight glad you captured on a dry sunny day.
