Many of the melodic ideas found in that recording are very similar to the ones used in Véronica Swift's performance here. Take a listen, I think you'll be able to hear it too.

    I saw her live a few years back at the Jazz Standard (rip that venue) and it blew my mind. She was with Kyle Poole on drums, can't recall who the other people were. Talked to them after the show and they were all delightful folks on top of being fantastic musicians. Seriously might have been the best live performance I've ever seen. PS her rendition of Stars Fell on Alabama is AMAZING.

    I used to work with Veronica at Walmart. When she sang the squashes, turnips and other assorted root vegetables used to get up and dance around. Never seen or heard anything like it.

    I was briefly locked up in prison with this girl. A shiv fashioned from a toothbrush nearly penetrated my spleen before she hit my cellmate with a jazz solo. We all made parole the next day. What a talent!
