As you can see, I did get much from this. Keep up the great presentations. Thanks to an "old" user of the computer but a new learner!

For those of you who are beginners, like me... keep watching if you are willing to learn. i know a lot of it, however, a few things were very useful. So THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT! I'm sure it takes a lot making a tutorial for so many ungratefuls!!
JACKIE DAVIS Agreed. Many people use their own programs and that's fine. Most people need to respect that. It's not like MS Paint is the only program in the world. Experiencing things in the program can make people learn something and that's true. I did'nt know how to put a picture inside another at first but I learned to do it by myself. I think there's people out there who just give up.

Thanks for this. I'm good at using computers but for some reason I couldn't figure out that the tool I was looking for was the eye dropper. I'm glad you pointed out the grid line since I want to do pixel art. Thanks so much. Don't forget that when putting down shapes you can hold down Shift to make it uniform and not deform much like you can set exact angles in photoshop.
Just watched your tutorial and it made me pine even more for Picasa and Windows Live photo gallery. I used to use either one of these programs, but find that Paint has nothing to offer to me. I take mainly aircraft photos with plenty of sky and unfortunately it means I get some lens dirt; both programs I mentioned used to deal with this, but as far as I know, Paint doesn't.

Is there a way that I can take a non-square part of an image(say, a logo), cut it out of the white background, and paste just the image onto a different background that I have saved?
Fort years I thought this program was a useful tool. Something you could possibly do some mechanical drawing, or some very limited design. It does have rulers, and a grid, but It takes a long time to draw a simple line two inches. Holding the mouse on a certain spot can be difficult. You have no way that I know of to draw a line at a 45 degree angle. Easy to draw a square or a rectangle, but starting it and stopping it exactly where it needs to be can take three four or more tries. And where is the "undo" button they had a while back? I thought this thing would draw something more than stick men, squares and arrows. Maybe i'm missing something or expecting too much. Can anyone draw something on wheels and get the circles centered for the wheel, tire and hub without taking several minutes of erasing and redoing?
I am learning to use paint and I am doing pretty good but I have a problem with the window fixing in place so it doesn't keep minimizing all the time. How do I do that? I watched tutorials but nobody covers that. Thank you!
+D22Responses HELLO, Thank you for responding. It happens when the window is not all the way open, just a small, window. I do that so I can look at a picture (model) to paint. When it's all the way maximize is okay. I need to fix it in place half open. Can I do that? Also, when I am painting, some the brush goes off by itself like I am painting or drawing and suddenly the brush flys off my hand and across the screen. LOL I know that must sound crazy but that is the best way I can explain it. Thank you!
I use paint to edit and crop photos before I post them online. This is helpful to reduce image size, fit dimension requirements, or to protect privacy.

+Knowing Christ Rules Vegan it depends on what style you use. if you blue it up it will pixelated so look through your fonts, resize them and see if they pixelate or not.
Is there away to correct changes on a photo using paint? Ive saved a photo and have used the font button and labeled certain things on the photo but once I save them I cant figure out how to edit the words. Any ideas?

TastySushi It depends on the background. if the background is choppy and you want to use the paintbucket, it won't do it properly, so you'll have to do it manually If it's a normal, clear background, then you can fill it in.

When you first paste the pic, you can drag the corners to change the size, but once you click off it, how do you enable it to let you drag the corners again?

I believe you can. When you have it windowed, you can click on the corners to resize it how you like. Let me know if it works.

I think you would need to use the select tool and select your part of the image and press delete.

There is nothing here that one cannot figure out on one's own just by opening and playing with the application.

If that's the case, then minimize the contents a bit to get it in the circle.
