Hey, I am following you from a long time. I have learned a lot about resin and the basics from your videos. Thanks a lot.
Happy to hear that!

Thank you so much
This tray is absolutely beautiful ! Your pigments and glitters are gorgeous ! If the shipping costs were not so high...
Hope you're doing well 🤩🤩🤩💙💙💙
If you catch one of my sales it might even out 🤗😉
It's beautiful! The mold I bought came with handles & screws. I thought I was going to have to drill holes in the tray to put the handles on!
I have drilled holes too! Just depends 💞
Love this colors ❤️🇩🇰
Thank you =)
Oh my gosh I LOVE this!! I was wondering since you do 2 layers, do you divide the 13 oz in half for the top and bottom layer and then divide the 6.5 oz up to mix all of the colors? Thanx sooooo much!
Yes!! It takes about 13 ounces total
Thank you for sharing this!!! it looks amazing :) did you wait for the resin to get thicker? mine always tend to bleed between colours :(
Hi! Thank you for watching!! Yes I do wait, I also try a few other things... here is a video of some more tips of how I keep colors separate =) ruclips.net/video/7Nma7Fmlais/видео.html
Beautiful art n craft...now friend here
Thank you so much 😊
Bonus! 🌙💙
Whoop Whoop 🙌
Kathy, this tray turned out gorgeous. I've been watching lots of videos and I am wondering why not just put a heavy first coat of clear resin down and then just put the colored resin and glitters down once in the second coat. It just seems to me that a lot of the work gets covered with a second coat of the colors. I haven't done my first pour yet, but I keep wondering about this. Thanks so much.
Hi Barbara and thank you! For this piece, I wasn't planning on a second layer. But I prefer it to the first layer. I wasn't happy with that one, and that's why I added it. A lot of the work can get covered, but not if you use a lot of clear resin and control it well. I did a giant flower with a mold and the 1st layer or two is just a solid color to build up a nice base. The deeper the mold, you really should fill it up with resin, or your finished piece might be too flimsy. So many times with molds this large, multiple layers are necessary. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching 💗
Just getting into resin work and this is one of the most beautiful I've seen. Can I ask how you clean up the resin from your measuring cups etc once you're done? Thanks!
I wipe them out with a dry paper towel and then use a baby wipe to get any residue off the cup 😀
Hi lovely love this where did you get your mold from pls?? I live in Australia xx
I sell them! And I do ship internationally www.dryerdaysartstudio.com/shop/p/large-tray-mold
It's a beautiful tray! Which golden metallic pen have you used for the edges of tray?
I use a gold pen/marker from Michaels, it is listed in the video description with a link to where you can find one 😀
Thank you soooooo much
Such a gorgeous piece! Always inspired by your work. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into your videos. It’s appreciated! 🙂
Thank you so much, that means a lot!
😍😍
Stunning! How many Oz of resin did you use for the tray?
About 12.5 ounces
Super beau
Love the Tray ... Do u sell them !?
Yes, this one is available. Please email me at dryerdays33@gmail.com if you're interested 🥰
Beautiful what brand of pen did you end up using to do the edges
I went with the michaels marker! I did link it in the description, its kinda far down near the bottom!
Hi, what you do is great ! If I make/create a plate that I don't like, can I modify it ?How can I modify a resin plate ? = put it in the microwave to melt it? In hot water? Or with a paint stripper? Thank you so much.
This is stunning, STU-NNING . I imagine this would even win over all the non green lovers … I’m definitely stealing this idea from you, I hope that’s ok 💚🤎💛
Beautiful piece.
Did you spray any “Mold Release” product before you began? TIA
I did not, it’s a shallow enough mold, no mold release is necessary. Just make sure the resin has cured before removal
These colors 😍😍😍 I just made a tray. It’s been about 24 hours and it seems a little ‘bendy’ but feels try on the surface. Is it okay to demold or should I leave it?
Hi! I responded yesterday but for some reason it didn't post!! With deeper, larger pieces I do demold after 24 hours, but allow it to sit on a flat surface for another week to harden up
How long did you wait before the two layers? I love the green!
Thank you!! Just wait until that first layer is stiff to the touch and not moving 😍
How long it takes to harden 100%? This is gorgeous I want it! Love your Chanel!
Thank you so much! I let this cure for awhile. Some resins specify that full cure can take 30 days!!
Hi :
Stunning tray .quick question concerning the gold marker contouring the tray . Is that a permanent marker ? Is it better then using the mica powder , easier to unmould . Do you have a beginner video where you show what we need to buy to start making the trays ?
Thank you ☀️
Thank you for watching! That is a gold metallic marker. I list all the products I use in every video in the videos' description. I feel like this is a beginner video on trays??? what else are you curious about? I just did another video that may help: ruclips.net/video/vW6YoailqYI/видео.html
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO Good Morning:
I’m interested in starting to make trays & coasters . I just don’t know where to start 🙈
A real beginner & I love your work .
🌙💙
😍😍
How much resin did you initially prepare for pour?
13:45
est-ce que les poignées sont vissées où simplement prises dans la résine ? merci pour votre réponse
Hello, here u used metallic pigment. Do u mixed it with resin? Or u use directly?
On the edges of the mold I apply it directly, in the mold I mix it with resin
J’ai oublié
Combien de résine À + B
Que tu as mis ? Merci beaucoup 🙏😘
How long dies it take before the epoxy is totally cured where it doesn’t bend?
It depends on the resin you use. I used TotalBoat and demolded this after a day and a half. I then still let it lay flat for 2 more days. Resin is typically hard to the touch after 24, but still cures for a few more days, even weeks
How do you know how much resin/epoxy to use and how much of the colors and glitter to put into the resin...what should the consistency be like?...Thank you!
Hi Cindy!! And thank you for your patronage!! I pretty much eye ball it. But I try to keep the pigments under a 10% to resin consistnecy. You don't need a lot of pigment. The more you add, the more your resin will thicken up and become sludgy. Now, I do like that sometimes for my glitter as I want it to stay in place more. So the glitter I tend to add more than that 10% ratio. I hope that helps and makes sense!!
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO Thank you...that does help but how do you know how much total resin to use for the tray...do you eyeball that two or do you calculate ounces somehow.?...
@@cnbowles1 This mold takes about 12.5-13ounces. I know that a flat, 12x12 board takes 5 oz of resin. I double that for a mold and then if the mold is larger than that 12x12 size, I add ounces on for that. I try to share how much I use for each mold. I have added this info to the description of this mold in my store, thank you, Cindy!!!
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO ....Thank you!!!
can you use a blow dryer rather than a heat gun or torch?
Blow dryers won't get hot enough to pop the bubbles and they will blow the work around so hard that you will look your compostition.
