Movies with "bad" CGI were actually more disturbing in my opinion. Instead of horror, they just gave you a lasting overwhelming feeling of uncomfortability.
I've watched this movie several times and believe me, I loved it coz it gave off both romance and horror vibes and I also recommend watching Hollow man 2, it's as good as the first one❤
I love Hollow Man. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes. The story, performance's, music, and special effects was outstanding and incredible. Kevin Bacon did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Sebastian Caine as he put tons of emotion and depth into his role. A brilliant yet arrogant scientist that has hunger for power and once he has that power it really takes a dark and sinister turn as he is tempted to use it for evil intentions. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
How the hell was Mathew so functional at this point when he seemed near dead only minutes earlier from injuries inflicted by the hollow man?? Seems like a major plot error to me.
In my opinion Sebastian is a complex character. It makes the audience feel sorry for him and want him to win such as getting a chance of happiness in life as he was dealing with heartbreak of the end of his relationship with Linda as she left him for Matt due to his personality as he wasn't their for her, was quarantined in the laboratory due to his condition of being completely invisible due to the invisibility serum as he wanted to do human testing as he was constantly put under needle's, experiments, and radiation tests to bring him fully back to normal but to avail as the more he stays in isolation the slowly he descends into madness, doesn't get no recognition and credibility at all, and they're we're going to give him up to the committee but at the same time Sebastian had a horrible personality such as being cocky, arrogant, and narcissistic as he was always joking he was god towards his teammates, sexual assaulted a team member, rape his next door neighbor, kill a dog, and kill innocent people. If Sebastian had a different personality his life would have been better and bright as Linda will still be with him, his teammates will appreciate him, and he will get tons of recognition and credibility.

I guess it's the effect of the serum. His human appearance was returning but "slowly". Apparently the antidote they made to make it normal just made the invisibility last longer since the antidote was used on the gorilla, but that was different. My theory is that while the antidote worked on the gorilla, it couldn't be the same on a human, I say the invisibility serum had the antidote right there.

There are movies where Bacon is a good villain. Then there are movies where he's too good of a villain...
