Sebastian has a very thick plot armor. He was burned first by the woman, then hit in the head, electrocuted badly, then burned again during the explosion, yet somehow he is still alive 😂 Still, great movie. I loved it as a kid

Kevin Bacon is excellent as the mad scientist / murderous villain and the visual effects are astonishing, especially if you had the privilege of seeing this movie in the cinema. Great sci-fi thriller, one of my favorites.
Honestly Sebastian was too badass to die, they did him dirty. If this was released in today's time it would've been whole series and we would've gotten more action from Sebastian, phenomenal performance by Kevin Bacon 👌
I too agree that this movie was one of Bacon's best performances, and really shows his potential in villainous roles. It's one of the following reasons I think Kevin would make an excellent replacement actor for Freddy Krueger if they tried to reboot Nightmare on Elm Street again. However, Sebastian was still a reprehensible and murderous deviant too untrustworthy to be left with this power. And just like the original novel, the Invisible Man does die at the end after all his evil acts of r-pe and murder.

Honestly surprised I'd never heard of it before. Would definitely recommend giving the full thing a watch, it's actually pretty good 👍🏽

In a dark and twisted way, I actually could see Hollow Man as a Marvel supervillain. This movie feels like a supervillain one. Or maybe I'm just thinking of those classic monster movies.
He was electrocuted by the power box because he was trying to hit Matt with crowbar but Matt smacked and Sebastian fell into the power box with the crowbar going inside making his body visible and somehow survived that lol.

Remember they tried to bring his body to Visible. But nothing wasn't working. At 3:32 electricity was kind of able to bring his body back only the inside of his skin.

Here's how they would defeat him They would use a little bit of electricity to bring his body back to in visibility then turn off the electricity and Sebastian would be knock out and take him to jail. The problem with invisibility is that once nobody can see you then you also should not be able to see anything. Because the eyes are invisible as well and so is the retina. Hence light cannot be focused or image cannot be drawn an opaque surface.
Suspension of disbelief is one thing. But the guy just got third and fourth-degree burns all over his body from her little barbecue. He’s not gonna sit there and be able to fight back and beat her up the way he does.
Not to forget that flames give off no radiant heat, if the conflagration doesn't actually touch you, even if it's only inches away - you are perfectly safe.

As a kid, this was the only movie UMD I bothered buying for my PSP because I knew I’d never get tired of rewatching it. Epic film.
