😳 Jumping out of bed now to test this on my new C2. Found this while trying to find a way to instantly activate a screensaver when I need to step away from my PS5 for a few minutes. Hoping a quick access button to the art gallery and your new piece of knowledge could be the key.
I don't know how to freeze it but I do know that it's okay to leave it on for around two hours before switching the image or turning off the tv to prevent burn in.
Hey Tech Giant is it possible to download your own photos into this "Gallery" and have those cool picture frames on your own pics? I cant see how to do this...seems like you can not do this
Is it possible to set the wallpaper so that it comes up when the TV goes on to standby mode? Or do I have to open the artwork myself every time? Atm we get a black screen with a very little fire work that moves around the screen
A shame you cannot get rid of the no signal box, i would like art gallery set as default for the static images when no signal is available. hopefully LG will give the the option to do this in a future firmware update.

What I did was go to Home in the remote and select an HDMI input that wasn’t in use so it would go to “No Signal” and then using my Denon receiver I’d play Spotify
Yes static images can be an issue but that is when the image is displayed for a very long time,these images change every few seconds so it should be fine.
Can this be done with a video and can the video be set to loop? Or do we just need to use the built-in media player for that i.e. play a video with Repeat selected?
Just use a firestick on the TV, anyway of launching the screensaver with a shortcut button on the remote or importing the LG screensavers into firestick screensaver?

Hey Tech Giant. Merry Christmas. I’m still having a problem choosing a TV. I have a few more options I am stuck on. So I need your professional opinion . So I have had problems with 2. 82” Q90s. I’m going to exchange it once again due to DSE and a big dark spot in the center of the screen. Would you try for another Q90. Save money and Get an 82” Q80. Or get the LG C9?
Personally i would rule out the Q80 as that is not as good as what you already have and you could always end up with the same problem with that. So that leaves the Q90 and C9,personally i prefer the C9 and that is what i would rather have.That said it all depends how much you like the Q90,would you be happy with it if it weren’t for the issue that you have had?
The Tech Giant I really didn’t have any problems with the Q90. But I do love the C9. I haven’t seen any real content on the C9 but all I hear is the picture quality is amazing. I was going to try the X950G but I’m hearing mixed reviews. I heard the colors are really accurate and that the motion handling is great but from some people I’m hearing the PQ is not that great from others I’m hearing it is great so I’m really confused.
I know its 2020 but with money being tight this year with furloughed pay I treated myself to the 55" c8pla in the sales...best tv I've ever had and wondered where this feature was...thanks for the easy explanation fella...much appreciated
Thanks for making a video just about this feature. It's good for a quick reference to get directly to the question in case you forget how to pull the feature up on your TV. The gallery app is a cool feature to use if you're having a party at your house just as background visual stimulation.
FYI, the recently released firmware update for the CX now allows the no signal to be removed? I'm assuming they will make that possible with a future firmware update for the C1.

Yes there is ! I've just discovered it on my old LG handset ! Hence why I hate the magic remote, on my screen it has a small red symbol so I hit that ...you have red green yellow blue in a line on handset so I pressed the red bar looking button and the no signal thing disappears !!!! Hope this helps..same buttons on magic remote just looked ! I think they have done an Update on this since this video Paul ? Also the message stays off.
Don't forget to tell OLED sub pixels all have different lifespans, blue is the first to die, so before anyone wanting to spend a lot on a OLED TV and just leave it always on showing pictures, be careful as colors also die at some point, so I'd not recommend wasting the amazing quality of this best 2019 TV to have it on showing pictures with no one watching them, rather just use them temporarily to show to some friends but don't leave it on for the cat to watch :).

Bullshit. OLED panels are the best money can buy.. i have LG OLED C8 77 inch which i bought for 5000euros and no issues over 6000 hours.. played so many static games for long hours per day!! Unfortunately LG done away with the frame on the last couple of generations. Not sure why, as it looks really good. The only thing I can think of is that it could have been a potential risk for burn in.

After looking into this issue a little further, I realized that many of you have your TV’s mounted on a wall. And it would be great to have the TV display the art images without the “NO SIGNAL” box, and have all your equipment powered down as well. The solution is the same: With everything powered down, turn on the TV. You’ll see the slideshow begin and the “NO SIGNAL” box. Just press the “HOME” button on the LG remote and scroll over to the GALLERY. Select which gallery slideshow you was to watch, and you’re all set. FYI, the gallery slideshows come with their own music. If you don’t want to listen to the music, just turn the volume down. 🙂
Well you won’t be able to do the exact same as this is an LG feature,Sony may have their own version of something like it but I’m not sure as I have never tested out a Sony.

Yes there is normally extra ones that you can download,they are indicated by an arrow on them. You can also even use your own personal photos if you prefer.

you can now, if you press the red button on the bottom of your remote it will go away
Sucks you can't get the no signal to disappear, LG needs to change that!!
If you go to home and press on gallery and select what you want the no signal disappears!

No you can't stop it.
And you really don't want to stop it either, as that will cause screen burn-in.
To prevent burn-in, just use artwork of something cold, like a snowy landscape or an ice cream cone.

By putting photos on an usb-stick and inserting that stick in the TV. You can then pick your photos when in gallery mode.

The frames you see are not real, they are part of the image on the screen.

It's is actually the opposite. Leaving a still image on a screen for long periods of time is what actually causes burn in. Look up OLED burn in.
we can remove the no signal warning on the E9 though.. i think? i m almost certain i already saw that option on the settings somewhere..

No, LG did it this way on purpose. Otherwise the static image would eventually cause burn-in on the screen.
