i have a real quick question, so i see in the video that you change your thumb position a lot when playing and i was wondering if there’s was like any pattern/reason why you would for example put your thumb over the neck for this part and then put it behind the neck for this part. I just want to know if there’s a certain reason why so that maybe i could apply it to my playing and maybe it would be a little easier to play this passage. Thanks!
Hi there There's no reason other than comfort. Rarely I use my thumb to mute some strings, but some players do it a lot (John Frusciante). Thanks for your question!
pressure. so the other four fingers are able to put the right pressure onto the frets when it's needed. thumb works as an antagonist, at least that's how I see it in my play style.
