Cool vid. Couple notes. That first beach you were at is the gay beach, its The Gulf of Thailand, the water is never clear, 90% of massage parlors will give you a spankin. Also you'll hard pressed to find a cute babe working at the bars in Jomtien. Great find on the gym. Been here 3 years and didnt know. And last, the high season traffic will surely test your road rage. Especially with the new one way traffic on beach road. Overall a cool town not far from the red zone. Prolly the reddest on earth. Cheers.
Been there and done that Mr Kevin. After you go2 the Marine disco on Beach road.. the glimmer and the glamor starts wearing off. A great place to visit though.😊
The downside to Jomtien is no shopping mall, and walking the soi's smell like sewerage. If you live away from the baht bus route, then a bike or car would be needed.
I know you are mostly interested in scoping out long term areas for expat expansion like Pattaya and Hua Hin, but you need to check out Koh Samui and Ao Nang too. Most of the expat beaches tend to be kinda average. The point of living there though is to be less than 2 hours from Bangkok which can get you anywhere in Southeast Asia in a few hours cheaply. If you want to see Thailand beaches that rival the nicest beaches of the Philippines, You need to go to Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, Phuket, Phi Phi, Ao Nang, Koh Chang, or Koh Lanta.
@@graceleoniparker1496 If I'm staying long term on a coastline beach it's probably Hua Hin, Ao Nang, or somewhere on Phuket like Kata, Kamala, or Patong. Phuket is an island, but there's a bridge so it's more of just an extension of the mainland. If I was picking an island that's isolated from the mainland, that has everything, it would be Koh Samui. Phuket is probably the most expensive living in all of Thailand except maybe the business/nightlife areas of Bangkok. I'd prefer to slow travel for several years before picking a spot to settle into.
Hey Kevin , What a view that condo had . Me and my wife plans to visit Thailand beginning of 2025 . My wife is from Siquijor . We live in NC for the last 20 years . That’s the good thing your hair will grow back . 😂😂😂 . That was funny . Stay Safe .
Love the channel my friend. I would recommend doing a video Muscle Factory Pattaya; it’s huge sort of like a Golds on steroids; a pretty incredible gym in Pattaya!
I don't understand the condo prices in SE Asia. For $130k you could buy land and build and furnish a nice two story house with a pool in the Philippines. The view isn't worth that much morey to me.
Hmmmm….you didn’t list where you would buy the land and build a house in the Philippines….price is gonna vary…..#2, can you get all of the amenities that you can in Thailand?
@@TooMuchTimeonmyHands65 I would absolutely rather live in Thailand or Vietnam I just don't understand the condo prices. Maybe it's my Western brain. The home I currently own in the US on Lake Michigan would cost more to build new even before covid/inflation. A similar sized condo would be cheaper. But in SE Asia the condos are more expensive than a home you can build, and building a new home is cheaper than an existing one (even new construction). I've seen some homes expats have built in the PH for $130k that are basically mansions. Not that I'd want all that. You can build a nice home for $60k. Anyhow, yeah give Thailand and Vietnam a fair shot. I've spent time in all three countries and they are both superior to the PH in terms of lifestyle and creature comforts.
Thanks Kevin, great video. But it's showing me every reason why I wouldn't like Thailand. Too tourist based, everyplace wreaks of weed and the crowds that attracts. Too many massage parlors, still a language barrier, more commercial. I like the simpler life now which is why Bacong/ Duma feels right for me. Apart from the better and variety of foods everything else there doesn't appeal to me.

Great video Kevin!!!! Looks nice there and the gym looked great!!!! 2 thumbs up my friend!!!!
Its getting crazy priced over there and the Philippines now to buy, ill just rent lol
Great video. Nice condo too. Jomtien Beach is an area I've seen a lot of videos for condos that are tempting to consider.

Nice place
Nice view, but I would get bored living in a small place like that and having to use an elevator every time I wanted to go outside.
compared to Dumaguete .. Jomtien hands down way better . ive had a few visits to duma nothing interesting
Like a kid in a candy shop😅😅

If you happen to be married to a Filipina you can buy land and build a house. Otherwise foreigners can only buy condos in the Philippines.
You got rip off, if you paid 100 Thousand dollars for that. U can get a better condo for 30 grand. In same area. I know because I have one.
Jomtien Beach has poor water quality. I wouldn’t swim in it. Check out the reviews.
